Howdy folks ...looks like a great bunch of true flight finatics.

I'm not a pilot in real life but I do have over thirty hours of freefall time over a period of about 30 years.

I recently bought the X-52 and after trying it out was a bit dissapointed with the infamous dead zones. It was too **** pretty to return and with the hopes of a fix for it in the future I decided to keep it.

In the mean time I bought the Logitech Freedom 2.4 joystick. Very nice stick. Precise and accurate with an adaquate number of buttons. Only thing I cant figure out is how to use the shift button. The profiler lets you select which button to use to shift but there are no instructions on how to implement it.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi FreedSpeak!
I have the X52, and I was disappointed with the "deadzone"at first too, but I found out that you need to play around with the Control input settings in the simulation..... Move them up closer to 100%, and experiment with it. The X52 is really a great stick! Fully Tunable...

Regarding your "deadzones", click the "Joysticks..." link under my signature picture and read the section on Setting Up Sensitivity (http://www.airwarfare.com/tech/sticks.htm#006) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
