One time this winter when there was plenty of snow on the ground I needed to turn around on a 2 lane streed. Because I didn't have the patients to pull into a parking lot and turn around, I thought I would just pull the hand brake to do a quick 180. A simple operation I've done many times before. So I go to do it then as I'm already into the skid I notice a car coming towards me. The car was out of my veiw behind the "A" piller before I started to skid. So if that wasn't bad enough I accedently had my foot partially still on the brake. I didn't skid through a full turn and was faced partially towards the snow back. And on top of everyting else I managed to stall the car too. That would almost be embarrasing enough on its own. So the on coming car was blocked until I could start up and get out of the way.

LMAO, I just realized (after reading some of these posts) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif that I meant this to be a thread about embarrasing moments in a simulation game, not IRL. Heh, sorry about that...

Was driving my squad mates in an Allied truck when one of them told me he just made the top player in game in kill/death ratio in WW2Online.

Just then I drove through a brush line and didn't see a berm on the other side which launched my infantry laiden truck like a stunt car ... which I rolled and killed everyone on board ... he was no longer top kill/death ratio top player. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif

I was sitting, playing Il-2 as my girlfriend came over,

She wanted to have a go at playing so i said.

"ok, lets set you up for a carrier landing"

I diddnt think she would make it, afterall it took me 5-6 times to get it right.
so i vagured that I would wash her moped if she landed unharmed.

And by god, she landed that corsair straight on the first time! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

beautifull trhee point landing too.

Atleast her moped got cleaned http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

well me and my friend stuart were playing an sh2 coop map, convoy to iceland i think. we encountered the convoy, got within about a 1000 metres of a few ships, sunk them all, then he went his seperate way. after about an hour of stalking stragglers, i find hes dead. one of my stray torpedo's, i think it was a guided one, actually blew him up. god knows how it happened, but i was laughin for a fair old while, but pretty embarrising lol http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I climbed to 3000m in a Bf109F4 and flew towards the target area, searching the skies, when I saw a dot almost 12 o'clock, same altitude. I pushed the throttle forward to close in and identify, but I was pretty sure it was a bogey. The chase continued. After a while he lost a bit of altitude and began a slight turn to starboard. I followed him into a long slowly descending turn.
The whole chase took about 15minutes and I had started with only 25% fuel, so I was almost dry - but I wanted to get that guy. I decided to take the shortcut and turned a little steeper, just to be very surprised, he suddenly seemed to dive away. I chased him, pushing down my nose and he pulled even, when my engine finally died - fuel empty. Great. I turned sharp, searching for a landing area, when I realized he was doing the same. WTF?
I did a Split S, ending up 500m above ground and he still seemed like 3clicks in front of me. At that time I started laughing, so much that my belly hurt afterwards. I literally ROFL, then removed the dirt from my monitor...... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Playing European Air War. Bf109 in the early stages of BoB. Shot down 3 Spitfires, flew back to base, perfect landing then hit the brake key...only to find I actually hit the bail out key...god did I feel stupid.

Ok the most dumb thing i ever have done.

JFC campaign flying finnish

Me and my wingbuddy had the best overall stats of the axis side at this time of the campaign..we flew the beerster and had not yet lost a plane (flying 6 missions) and our kill stats for both pilots were 7 planes

This mission we took of, flew around shot down an IL2 and headed home, my wingbuddy se a truck column,,,we strafe them, he chrashes. I doent fall into this trap and start flying home. Im sitting infront of my pc smoking drinking coffe....drops the cigarete down the lab....screaming jumping hurting....when i finaly get the cigaret i look up on the monitor...sees a train in my gunsight....reatch out for the stick...plane slams direct into the train.....im dead......I lost a plane due to bad habbit, our side lost a suply train that was carying fuel to our own base. The smashed train bloks the way for another train and ofcourse an IL2 sees this and blows that one up to

Next campaign our JU87`s couldt fly "no fuel" our groundtroops couldnt advance "no fuel or ammo" and i had 15 German pilots trying to do there best to chace me around the entire eastern front......the next few missions

Thats my story

Wow - where do you do these campaigns?

Embarrasing sim moment: in Il-2 a few weeks before PF came out, on the Warbirds (or something) Zeke vs P-40 server, which was running an online fjord-type map IIRC. I was listening to Teamspeak (I didn't transmit much because I didn't have anything useful to say) and after about an hour of listening to people complaining about the map being very big, or being very repetitive, and finally some comment about Spitfires (Spitfires? I was on a server with only P-40, Zero, He-111!) I realised I was listening to the Warbirds (or similar) ETO Normandy server Teamspeak channel...

Once made a perfect 3-point landing online with the undercarriage up...

And about once every 15 minutes, my aircraft is sitting on its nose on a taxiway somewhere as I use too much brake during a turn...

Kinda not my fault but Ill say it anyways. The dev team from SH1 or SHII, Im not sure, but there was a time when I was in a hurry to press a key and i pressed the letter C. It was crash dive and that could of been avoided if crash dive was programmed CTRL + C. This is why I want us to be able to program our own keys.

TK'ing about six teammates in a row with airstrikes on the "Oasis" map for Wolfenstein ET. I lost a lot of popularity that day...

tking an aircraft carrier in PF multiplayer.
If you fly a 'sair with 2 tiny tims and a 1000 pound bombs you can down a carrier in one dive. I... er... got turned around and mistook our carrier with the e's.
