Hi,

I've just got hold of a MS Force Feedback 2 joystick from Ebay and I'm very pleased with it. Flying wise it's perfect and a vast improvement over my old Thrustmaster Afterburner 2.

However, when I try to land I get ridiculous amounts of recoil through the stick no matter how gently the wheels touch the ground. Likewise, taking off is impossible as the stick is literally yanked from my hand. I've installed the software which came with it but have found it to be of little use. Setting the amount of force feedback in the control panel seems to have no effect in-game. I've un-installed and then re-installed the software but still the same problem. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Does anyone know of another method of editing the forces of this stick? Any help would be very much appreciated. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thanks in advance.

Hello brutus. PM me your email, I'll send you a file with some instructions that might help.

Scroll down to joystick utilities. There are some premade FFB files that you can just drop in.

Go into the forcefeedback folder in IL2 and rename the punch.ffe file.
