View Full Version : Difficulties pulling a perpendicular loop

I'm using a Saitek Cyborg FFB Evo and have difficulties executing a perpendicular loop in a zerofighter. The plane tends to tilt to one side and I've to constant adjust the rudders to keep it perpendicular.

Is this a problem with my joystick or is this simulating real life?

It seems to be normal enough.

I recall a video of a modern P-51 pilot explaining that, to do a loop without sideslipping, you have to continually add rudder as you ascend, then reduce rudder as you descend.

Probably because torque and slipstream effects become more pronounced at low speeds, then fall off at high speeds.

Using a reference, like performing the loop parallel to a runway, helps me straighten my loops.

Is it normal for the game though?

This isnt a game. It's an extension of reality.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

It does it with my Cougar and previously with my old Saitek, so yes, I would say its normal.
