Nope.

This has been a dead issue for some time.
The modeler was unable/unwilling (you decide which is correct) to finish the model in time.

Truely sad too. Flying boats are my favorite aircraft type.

This really is a pity. I would dearly love to have the H8K "Emily" as a flyable. It was such an amazing acheivement for the Japanese aero industry. 4000mi range, a whisker under 300mph top speed, economical cruise speed of 180mph (faster than a PBY's top speed), ability to carry bombs or torpedos, or be configured for photo recce or troop transport. No flying boat in the world could match it until the 1960s. An amazing aircraft.

You forgot about the h8k1 being able to shred you when you go after it.Thats a good quality in my opinion.

Not quite true. The Martin Mars was bigger, as fast, carried more, and had longer range. When I was 5 years old in 1952 I flew in one from Samoa to the U.S. via Hawaii. I don't remember it of course, but I have the pictures.

The Marses (?) that are still around fly as water bombers in British Columbia.

Here's the company's website http://www.martinmars.com/
