I am playing Revelation on my old Dell 8100 with a singel DVD-Rom Drive and have no problems at all. I want to buy a new Dell 8400 with 2 drives - a DVD Burner, and a read only DVD Rom drive. Will I encounter the copy protection issue, playing Myst IV in the read only DVD Rom drive. Does the presence of the Burner, even though not used, cause a problem. Revelation is excellent, and would love to experience the full depth of the graphics on a new machine.

I think you should be okay, assuming that the drive can read Dual Layer DVD's.

I have a CD-RW and a DVD-RW drive in my computer, and Myst IV works just fine. I guess as stated on Ubi's website "some"DVD-RW's may have problems.

Good luck

I have these DVD drives and have encountered no problems with either.
