Well, Monkeys post gave me this cool idea. Post a picture of you house from the air like i have here. It could make for quite interesting looking. Yeah i know mine is really boring, its just a maisonette in the middle of Dagenham, England. How about yours?

Get google earth here:

Heres my little corner of the world, Decatur, Georgia, USA. The pic was taken in spring, as you can see the dogwood trees in bloom (white). Also, it is a few years old.

Anyone wishing to visit is welcome. I like to frequent Melton's App and Tap and The Brick Store Pub (http://www.brickstorepub.com/beer.asp). The first round is always on me. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Ok, this is a bad old pic. Milwaukee is loaded with big old houses. Mine, 3000 square feet of handy man special. By handyman they ment replace all of the plumbing from the outside wall in, completly gut and replace the bathrooms, gut and replace the study. Sand and refinish 2000 square feet of hardwood floors and rebuild 40 windows. Last summer we removed the fancy fake brick siding and recovered the wood siding that origionaly came with the place 100 years ago. Looks much better now.. Rebuilding the whole third floor this summer, I will have a 1000 square foot living room 8^P

Apparently I do not do small projects. 8^)

Ohh, by replace the plumbing I mean go into the basement at 6:00am on a sunday morning after breakfast with a pipe wrench and a hacksaw. After the first lead pipe was cut I looked at the mess to come and decided that I would have to finish what I started. The result is a shower that damm near knocks you over and a bathtub drain with undertow. 8^)

The blue dot is near the balcony of our apartment and the red dot is the threshold of runway 7 at Langley Airport (grass strip). Gliders are often on final and they get close enough to the balcony so we can see the looks of terror on the young cadets faces as the treeline rushes towards them. Runway 7 is also where I passed my private pilot's exam in the late 1960s. It's in Langley, British Columbia and we're not afraid of your sissy bombs.

Calm yourselves,

I am receiving this sort of stuff through Hyper pager, chat and other Forum private topics. These are only excerpts from above by no means the full messages.

You get these from Banned users here. They can't send them through here once banned.

It is nothing more than threats and harassment. Trying to scare or bully a person around. They have no true details on myself or the other mods as far as I can tell.

But as you see, they would like too.

Thus the warning to you my fellow posters, just to be careful. We see wacko's from time to time in the news, chasing down Internet nemesis, and doing harmful and even deathly things to each other. I would hate very much to see or hear of any of you put into a place of true harm over this forum and our relations here.

I know exactly who they come from, and being a Moderator I know more of them than they do me. But you guys don't have that luxury, short contacting us or UBI for help, in these areas.

And thanks for the supportand heading my advise on this.

You got that right.... I've seen stuff directed at me from something thathapeened here on other forums. Even on my website....

That's the standard size of a house in the United States of America. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

They look like pretty normal houses to me, as well, lstarosta. OTOH they are shaped kinda funny, they have pointy roofs and don't seem to be made of hardened mud. Wierd.

I just read the other day that the standard new build home is an average of 2400 sq ft. in the U.S. today. 30 years ago it was about 1700 sq. ft., and 50 years ago it was about 1300 sq ft. I live in a pretty new neighborhood and nobody (except me) can even pull their cars into their garages because it is junk storage. People buy way too much ****.

Most people I know don't use their garage for their cars either. It's kinda gross seeing all that waste lying around there randomly.. you can't walk through it without stepping on something.

Notice the (old?) grass strip on that airfield?

The home size stats are intersting, my bedroom now (with bath/closet) is about the size of the first house I owned that was built in the 1930s, lol. A guy is building a house 3 doors up from me right now... 8300ft^2. Yikes.

Well the average English residential home is alot smaller than the Americans then! Makes me kinda jealous. Then again, your country is alot bigger so u can afford to spread everything out. Land is worth alot more here...

Jama, If I were rich those pine trees would be palm trees, and that paved road in front would be the Carribean Sea with a 100 foot sailing yachet docked out front.
