Hi All,

from time to time I see new members(welcome http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif) in the forum having trouble posting pics in the threads. I remember when I first tried this and it wasn´t easy with out simple instructions, so I decided to write a very simply set of instructions to make life easier, and to get more screenshots in the threads. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Ok, first you´ll need to find a host to hold your pics. This is easy and free. I use Photobucket www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com)

Sign up and get an account.

Ok, now you have your new account and want to upload a pic to photobucket. That´s easy. Just browse for the pic through photobucket and upload it. It takes a few seconds depending on your net speed.

Then, click on the pic(in the photobucket album) once it has been uploaded to Photobucket. A new window will appear and you´ll see your pic, but you aren´t ready yet.

Look at the bottom of your pic. Notice just under, you´ll see the name of your pic, the size, and "Exif Data" Should look something like this:

<span class="ev_code_BLUE">name of photo</span><span class="ev_code_BLACK">(512x384 - 107 K)</span><span class="ev_code_BLUE">Exif Data</span>

Click on the "<span class="ev_code_BLUE">name of photo</span>" and a new window opens, with only your photo.

Copy the URL(link) from that window.

Go to the thread where you want to post your pic and click on "reply". When the reply window opens, look at the top and you´ll see beside the little envelope something that looks like a small photo of mountain scenery. Post your photo link in there and then ok.

That´s it, very simple. I hope this helps the new guyz.

Your sig just keeps getting darker & darker, next it`ll be inverted crucifixes, with slaughtered templar knights hanging from them
(now there`s a nice mental image for us)

Now that is a cool pic. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

It´s really quite easy if you have a few tips but without them, it can be a real pain.

That picture has been circulating around the web as pictures of hurricane Katrina. But it is a hoax. The picture is real, but its not katrina... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

No, it's a part of a series taken in Australia IIRC... WTE_Ibis might know something about it?

Even easier:

No need for all that clicking:

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y189/Freelancer1/Bucket.jpg

You can copy the URL line for your avatar

One better with Photo bucket.
Mark the picture(s) you want to post, then click the button bottom right of the page 'Generate HTML and IMG code' and you will be presented with a new page, the second recommended option 'IMG clickable thumbnails for message boards - recommended' gives smaller thumbnails that can be clicked:

You can do this for multiple pictures http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
