I've just downloaded guncam. I succesfully captured some video and transferred it over to Windows Movie Maker, but the 'Movie' I have produced runs at the speed seemingly of a slide show! Oops! What have I done wrong here? Can anyone with more experiance of these things help me. Thought I'd done quite well actually 'cos I've never used Movie Maker before - Spoke too soon!

Not sure that irfanview will help you replace Movie Maker.

Try http://www.virtualdub.org for the free video editor. It can work with AVI and screen-caps (jpg, tga, bmp etc). Make sure you get the 1.5xxx version as the 1.6 series are not stable as yet.

You can use full processing mode in Video menu, then adjust the frame rate upwards to speed up the footage then save to a new AVI, even compress it to DivX.

I've downloaded virtualdub, buit I'm unclear hot to load up the fottage from guncam. I open the appropriate guncam folder and I'm faced with a 100 odd files. How do I select them all or am I doing something stupid?

You guys should take a look at the Movie makers forum here, most of the blokes who are making movies using the game use Virtualdub as an editing tool. I think they got some tutorials stickied there too.

I ran a Search using the word "tutorials" on the movie-makers forum...to save you teh trouble of searching yourself, here's a link to the Three pages of (54)responses to that search (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=search&reqWords=tutorials&use_forum_scope=on&forum_scope=65710358).

It's possible that folks just get tired of answering the same old question, having to repeat themeselves again and again, when a simple search will provide More than enough info/links to get a newbie started. In fact, even advanced techniques/tutorials are readily available.
