1.on my puter, i have an 951 mhz processor, 576 mb of ram, and an ATI 9000 and i run Aces with 4x AA and 4x Antistropic and i get good framerates, will this run PF at the same speed?

2.the 2 new maps that came for the QMB,how does the new maps fair against the pacific online map in the QMB, is the palm trees a FPS killer? or does it preform like the Smolensk map?

1) PF works very similar as Aces (if you are talking about AEP here).

2) In my experience, PF no longer suffers from palmtree-fps-killing.

so i wouldn't count on much. But if you do really run AEP with 4Xaa and 4X af, and still get good fps, then who knows? Maybe your idea of good framerates is different them most others.

New maps: One has islands and the other only has carriers. I haven't noticed a frame hit over the islands, but I haven't been paying much attention.

All you'll be able to do is arranging some 1 to 1 battles in quick mission builder but only in older maps , like smolensk...
You can simply forget playing campaign...
You can forget large historycal engagements with more than 2 carriers ships and 6-7 six planes on a map....
My PC is a little faster than yours and I still get 2-3 fps while trying to play the new single missions or start the campaign...
All I could squeeze from it was setting a mission with 4 SBDs attacking a single carrier(which was set to "sleep" in order not to shoot at them, since AA fire really turns the game into a slideshow) and a pair of Zero's trying to protect it...
The mission is fairly playable , but you'll have to keep in mind that you have to press the pause key when the game starts lagging in order not to collide with your target... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

I don't know while other say game now runs smoother than before... for me it is the same while flying the old AEP planes and the old maps, whith much greater loading time for the game to start....
