This is something that I thought would be interesting to try, and would like some help exploring.

The basic idea is to find as many similarities between the games, and the real world, and form a conspiracy theory.

For starters, Shaun had mentioned that he stumbled across the Templar order when researching various companies. He some how came across a company that was simply "to big",... and "had its hand in everything." With this, I'll politely make reference to G.E.

G.E. has it's hand in the automotive industry, oil, electricity, manufacturing, household appliances, home furnishings, and has a program where startup companies can write in, and receive funding in the form of an investment.

Thoughts?

I think GE might be an inspiration for Abstergo. Especially since Edison is a Templar in the games universe.

Having not played ACB, I don't know how much present day stuff they mention, but I have heard they do mention a bit. GE isn't quite evil enough as a corporation. Infact I'd say they are one of the least evil of big companies.

Apple, or Exxon Mobil, maybe Bank of America and definitely Goldman Sachs, those would be prime candidates. Look at Steve Jobs, I reckon he could be "S." His personal history, the philosophy of Apple(you will be given the same exact product as everyone else, and have access to only apps and music we supply, and no we will not give any money to charity, ever, but you will think you are an individual) fits perfectly with abstergo. And those black turtlenecks... come on...

I dont have the time at the moment(sxsw) to really get into this, but I can give some jump off points for exploring possible connections between the AC storyline and actual fact.
