My Windows XP is in Dutch, but the image should be obvious even to the English readers. Could someone explain to me what all this stuff is that's using up my RAM and how to disable the stuff I dont need? THX.

Don't close processes there unless they "hang"

Close the processes left of your clock in the windows bar at the bottom of the screen, and/or remove them from the StartUp folder("Opstarten") (they don't start then on system reboot)

Question: Did you back-up your files?
Answer: I didn't know they had a reverse...

That actually appears to be a fairly clean system, but you might try posting it again along with your dxdiag report in the community help forum for some more expert opinions.

Well, I see 2 for sure you can kill assuming you have a Lexmark printer!

I am assuming the 2 in there that begin with Lex are for your printer.

To free this ram permantly(until you use printer anyway) go to: start/run type in msconfig and hit enter. Go to the startup tab and uncheck the ones that have to do with your printer in there.

You will be prompted to reboot, go ahead. When you get back to desktop after reboot, a box will come up that says a bunch of stuff about you changed windows start up. Check the little box that says shut the feck up in the lower left and close the box.

Good luck!

Check them all against this list (in English):

Task List (http://www.answersthatwork.com/Tasklist_pages/tasklist_s.htm).

There's a different list for each letter.

Be careful to notice how some of the viruses and such have VERY similar names to legitimate Windows programs and processes. Often it's just a transposed letter.

"Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to greater danger. It works the same in any country."
