While patrolling off the english coast, I saw this bright thing and I wondered WTF it was, until I
realzied it was a searchlight looking for ME!

ARMED TRAWLER!

http://www.stardestroyer.net/Armour/SHReview31.jpg

"No one fart, boys..."

BTW, I ordered a crashdive, and slammed into the bottom and
damaged my boat, since the ocean floor was only 40 meters deep
at that point...

After that scary mission, I got reassigned to Brest, and had to
transit the straits of Dover submerged on e-machines for an
entire day, because of the british blockade with destroyers.

Once again, no one fart boys.

After escaping past the English Channel, I entered the Atlantic and
ran across a old Clemson class Four Stacker... and set up a torp
shot.

They both missed, and I found myself majorly screwed, with shells
landing left and right of me...and of course I ordered a crashdive..

I escaped a desultory depth charging which damaged my Flak
gun on the bridge, and after sinking a merchant, slipped into
Brest badly shaken....the easy pickings of one year off the
English coast are over...

wow some of the best shots ive seen yet.

I love the second one wheere ur on teh deck and u can see the bottom of the ship.

Also totaly love the first spotlight one! Great angle! (where your looking from the trawler/destroyer to your light up sub)

EDIT: I notice that your periscope is up, you might wanna photoshop that out and makeit into your signature image, because it is a really good one

2nd Edit: thats the first time ive spent about 5 mins going over screenshots, really great work!

Well, it's historical to have the periscope up on the surface, it increases your field of view.

See, the periscope allows you a observation point
much higher than those of your watchmen, allowing
you to see farther over the horizon.

yeah but is it effective ingame?

I would have thought the visual range of the crew would be dependent on there experience or the weather :P

I would be amazed if it does effect it tho, that would be great detail ingame.

but meh, great pics

Wicked one sheppard!!

I too got a mission to loiter off ireland and though, "meh, i cant be arsed sailing all the way round the top, i doubt they will have modelled the presence in the channel..."

Big mistake, i spent the next 2 days and nights hiding and running!!

The best bit was when i sank a cargo ship near cornwall (west end of south of england) and sat to watch it sink as you do (at night) next thing i hear a "ziiiiiip.... splash" look over to my left and a destroyer has a spotlight on me!!!

Dived and as soon as i got down my soundman reported 5 destroyers all around!! Nearly started crying lol. Got away though with just damage from the shelling i got http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

They are poor at depth charging early war thankfully. Im hoping they dont get too well trained...

Awesome story!'

This should tide over some of the guys that don't have the game yet, or anyone who was wondering how the gameplay unfolds. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
