Hi:

I just uploaded my first contribution to this community.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/Ceasar1/QPPromo5.jpg

From the Readme:

"This is a seven mission pack for those people that like to get ino the action quickly. Six are US missions attacking (or escorting bombers) a seaplane base the Japanese have established in an atoll somewhere in the Solomons, circa 1942-43. I used one basic template for these missions, but the composition of the forces at your disposal (and the enemy's) are different in each. You will be into the action in no more than 5 minutes in each mission."

Please let me know what you think. If this is well received, I have more planned centered around different targets, battles, and planes.

P.S. I mistyped my user name when I uploaded at FL, and need to correct it, but there is no way to contact anyone there??

Edit: Get it here

Hey Woofiedog, make sure to give me feedback. I'm working on a couple of others, and I want to make them better.

Thanks.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif I was able to run two of the Missions... A-20 & the Rufe. Excellent missions and I really like the skin's that came with them.
One thing about the A-20 mission was... I came in for a landing at the near by Base at the end of the mission and there wasn't any AA protection though.
I know there wasn't a Regular Base for landing... but maybe add a few AA at the Base or a regular Landing Field. Just a thought.
Those Rufe's are Mint... it takes a bit of flying to get the most out of them.
And I love landing them.
Over all Excellent Missions... Thank's

Woofie, glad you liked them so far. Yes, I never intended to use either of the two regular bases at all, simply because the map is so small that you would have the enemy right at your doorstep. You are just meant to just skeedaddle out of the area.

The next batch of missions will have opposing bases and t/o and landings.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif I'll be keeping an Eye Out for the next Batch.
I also need to say the Missions ran Very Smooth on my Rig... Excellent Mission Planing.
Again Thank's for the Hard Work... it Shows!

Well I've had a good go at these and I must say a very well done http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif. Straight into the action and once you're there it doesn't let up. Those **** Rufes keep spawning, along with the flying boats (which, incidentally, are a pig to knock down).
The seaplane base looks a treat as well.

Just a couple of points:

I don't have a 'NN' folder to copy the missions to. Is that just me, and if so why?

As mentioned by Woofiedog, a friendly base on the North island would have been useful - somewhere to run to before my fuel leaked away again http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif.

There are some great skins there but how about a single folder to unzip rather than copying each one individually, because I noticed that some of the Rufes are sporting unmarked default skins suggesting that I may have misplaced a skin somewhere.
A pointer in the briefing as to which skin to use would be good too. Some of my skin folders are quite full and I have trouble remembering which is which!

All in all though, these missions are great fun, I know that I shall keep coming back to them.

Cheers!

Will try them when I get home.

For that NN folder prob, open your single mission folder, right click and from the menu click on new folder and name it NN or None and put them in there. Or you can just put them in the US folder....

Hi Dunkelgrun, thank you for the critique. I should have run the whole package by you before I released it, instead of just the Rufe mission. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Sorry about the skin job. The suggestion you sent me about a ready-made Paint Scheme>Skins folder to just load into the game will be put to use in the next batch, be sure. As for the NN folder, I think it was there all along in the game's Mission folder, at least I don't recall creating it. If I did, it must have been a looong time ago.
