I have just heard that airshow legend and a dear friend of mine Ray Hanna has died. God bless you Ray, you were one of the nicest guys I ever met.

If I may ask, do you know the circumstances?
Please allow me to say how sorry I am for the loss of your friend.

That's terrible news. I'm very sorry for your loss HH - he was indeed a great man. I'll never forget (I still have it saved) the thoughtful reply I got when I e-mailed him once upon a time.

Why must it always happen to the best of them? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Here's to Father and Son, they'll be remembered for a long time to come.

Terrible shame, of the relatively few people in this world I would REALLY liked to have met and spoken to, he was high on my list. He could certainly fly an aeroplane!! Shall greatly miss his displays, and I believe he was hoping to retire to NZ any time now.

True True.

This is very sad news. I have quite a few of his displays on my hard drive or on video. Amazing displays.

I assume it was of natural causes, which is better than an accident like the one that claimed his son. Guys like them are the reason we have these warbirds flying around today.
All honor to them.
