lol, very nice m8. Thats the difference between spending ‚£180 on a camera (my photos) and ‚£700 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Also being an excellent photographer must help, any tips for taking planes using auto focus?

thanks Nexus. ‚£700, I wish it did cost that...

As for tips, well, this is my first SLR so I am still learning (had it three weeks). I used to use a Minolta Dimage 7Hi but just couldn't get the kinda of photo's I wanted.

Here is how I currently 'work':
1. Don't trust the cameras metering, if you can change it, I use centre-weighting although I need to experiment with averaging.

2. Set the camera to continuous focus and track your target. I try to have my cross-hair slightly in front of the aircraft to account for lag and so on.

3. Take shots in bursts, I can do upto 9 with my new toy but I tend to try and do burst of 5 so the buffer doesn't fill up.

4. If you can, set the camera to aperture priority and let it work out the shutter speed. This is fine for jets but props need it the other way around really.

5. Over-expose the image a bit if you can.

Don't take these as good tips tho, I am still learning but this is what seems to work at the moment http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

"As weaponry, both were good, but in far different ways from each other. In a nutshell, I describe it this way: if the FW 190 was a sabre, the 109 was a florett, or foil, like that used in the precision art of fencing." - G√ľnther Rall
