Will not be in BoB (not as is anyways)....BoB is totally different and using a new engine. It wasn't even made to the right specifications or poly limits (which are higher) that BoB has.

So we'll probably see it in this game, sometime. Not sure how.

This has been an enigma to me as well. These were finished by Jippo quite some time ago, longer than *some* of the new planes we are getting now, and yet they havent been released.

They were done by a 3rd party, so the models didnt take away any of 1C's time. I am pretty sure that the FM data has been forwarded as well.

I had really been hoping for an "Axis" Christmas present this year as the He-111 is a nice bird to fly, but it really gets eaten alive in mid to late war arenas.

Now that the allies have their B-25's, A-20's and Beaufighters, how about some ground punch for the other side of the Euro war? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Well said Fehler,

Was waiting for my axis holiday present which never came either....

Finally broke down and bought PF in expectations that Ju 88, Hs 129, Ta 152Cs, Me 410 & Italian planes would be released shortly.....

Not a bad product and accurate sim as to be expected from Maddox, but well below expectations ie. unfinished product as far as I am concerned for a Pacific Theatre sim. Missing tons of ships, quite a few airplanes, although some of the carrier features are nice. I think I know who's to blame here.....who ever never responds this his emails......

Now anyway, where are the Ju 88s ??

Someday!

It will almost surely be in AEP2 (at least the Russian patchs).

Btw. The only reason I am really interested in PF is for the next add-ons.

I'd like to know that too.
On 13th January 2005 it will be exactly 7 months since all cockpits and skins for Ju-88A-4 Early, Ju-88A-4 Late, Ju-88A-13, Ju-88A-14, Ju-88A-17, Ju-88C-6 and Ju-88C-6 Field Mod were finished and sent to Maddox Games and were approved to be incorporated in the game.
I know it takes a lot of time and effort for Maddox Games programers to get a 3rd party airplane in game as flyable, but IMHO this is taking far too long.

If no one knows what's about it's about money.

Any official excuse?

Relax folks, it will be included when it`s ready. If it`s submitted, it does not mean that it`s ready.

Ok, but what (no smart ***, just asking) does it take to implement the plane as it is already included in the game since IL2???????

Seems weird though.

BTW 1: @Jagdmailer: incredible site, didn't knew it!

BTW 2:Avimimus: what is this "AEP2"??? Have you heard of something, or is it me????

Oleg claimed since day one that AI's have the same FM as human controllable planes. Or is it just AI's driving human controlable planes not AIonly planes?

"Oleg claimed since day one that AI's have the same FM as human controllable planes. "

No, he said the reverse. AI does NOT have the same FM as human controlled planes.

I hate urging about new planes. Do you think that it is so easy to make new flight model, engine model, make cockpit usable..? Even when Ju88 is present as AI, it needs many things to be reworked. Do you all think that we have nothing to do? And what about BoB? Should we cancel it and spend the rest of our lifes on constantly upgrading and adding more planes to FB/PF? Just ask yourself these questions.

??? Is this the real Oleg Maddox????

Registered 15 November 2004 and only six posts????

Ok, let it be so!

Sorry for that, but I'm not urging, nor compalining, I'm asking explanations. Why does it take so long (7 months) just to "rework" something already present in the game?

Simple question. I'm not professionnal programmer, but I still wander why!

TIA,

Best regards

"VIP" is beneath Oleg's name when he posts here, and I've never heard Oleg say he "hates" anything.

But it's still a valid point, although MG has had the new Ju-88s for a while now and the team that made them are under the impression there aren't problems with the models themselves. Perhaps that should be clarified?

A.K.Davis, I'm sure the models are just fine, otherwise they wouldn't be accepted by Maddox Games. After all, Jan Niukkanen is an experienced 3d modeler - Ju-78B-2, Ju-87D-3, Ju-87D-5 and Ju-87G-1 cockpits are his work.

I meet a Veteran of Luftwaffe who flew Ju88 (And all other 2/3/4/6 engined LW planes)

He told me that he was able to reach 580 at 6000m in the Ju88 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif . He also told me that if u dont aply the rudder full to one side in take off the plane will turn like mad cos the engines had an horrible torque http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. Is awesome how much great stories can these veterans told. (He flew Ju52 in Creta Assault, Was shot down in mediterranean sea and rescued by an Italian Patrol Boat. Flew in supply for Stalingrad, Bombed Liverpool in He111 [Got a nice pic of that]got Iron Cross 1st/2nd was wounded and flew like 250+ combat sorties in transport planes, nachtjagers, stukas, bombers, and YES he flew Me262!!!.) ... hes likemy personal hero now http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif. 89 Years old Veteran living in a Chilean Asylum...Real Heroe

Oh, and yeah a Ju88 would be a nice flight http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Young men of that era certainly saw some wild times - pity so many didn't live to tell.

Hes still alive. He came to Chile (My country) after the war and now hes living in a (Actually dont know if Asylum is the word, maybe Retire House?). I scanned his photo album with pictures from North Africa , Ju52 Formation Over the Mediterranean Sea and yeah some with Ju88 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif. That was his favourite plane.

I had a long talk with him with my brother (He is also one of the founders of the German Firefighter Company here in Santiago and my brother is in that Company. Thats how he meet him) I think he wrote a book or two with all his flight log. Sadly the one of the Eastern Front is lost and of the other only remains 1 copy somewhere. Is incredible the many things he passed (He flew with Rommel in a Fiesler Storch!!).

MrOblongo,

Intensely interesting. Thanks for sharing this stuff.

I don`t suppose he ever saw/tried IL-2? As usual, I`d be curious to know what his reaction was.

Ja, really sad to see those great men, who fought in WWII, fading away...
I am sure everyone of them would have many stories to tell us.
