Well I guess if you consider Tucker Carlson a reputable journalist that might be worth reading. Personally I couldn't give a d@m what Cheney's former water boy has to say about anything.

Written like a true illiterate: author: Jonathan Strong of "The Daily Caller"---p.s. this was sent to me by a non-conservaive friend.

Yes yes, bash and name call - after years on this board I get the shtick. I was not referring to the article but the founder of The Daily Caller.

Funny enough I'm basically on your side - but I'm sick of the over the top rhetoric from people like you that are poisoning the conservative well.

Facts are, of course, colored by the source, right? Of course not. Damning the source out of hand is a charming game. Did Carlson write the article. No. You are playing a very coy double game are you not?

You, apparently, could not read the article.

Ok see this is exactly my point. I've always been an independent voter and by far my main concerns are taxes, Fed policy, and military spending. The same is true for my wife and the vast majority of our friends. But people like you are pushing myself and other independents AWAY from what you claim is YOUR cause. I could care less about Wright, birhters, Palin, or any of the other freak shows that are DETRACTING from the important work that needs to be done to help this country.

On the subject, I can't say that there was anything there that surprised me; it was fairly obvious that the mainstream media, and particularly the press, were madly in love with Obama from the moment he announced his candidacy for the US Senate.

His major opponents were disqualified on specious grounds or had court sealed documents revealing their private lives made public, and not one 'investigative reporter' stirred in the entire state of Illinois. His association with the 'Reverend' Wright is just one more log on the fire, as far as I'm concerned.

The blatant hypocrisy of the people who shamelessly tout themselves as unbiased sources of information about current events is finally starting to penetrate the public consciousness; hopefully, the collapse of so many of the major 'news' organizations and the forced unemployment of so many like-minded journalists will lead to something approaching balance.

Absolutely right, horseback, as usual. The tired tactic of damning the messenger, whomever it might be, about a message all of us should have received long ago is a futile rearguard by those who are comfortable with the lies disseminated by those who pretend to be our "betters" in the news media. I will take solid information from any source---even CNN, CBS, or BBC.

A really lovely example of the hubris of the left-oriented mainstream media was that of the egregious Christine Amanpour of CNN who told her CNN colleagues in a pre-2004 election CNN meeting it was their duty to help defeat Bush in 2004. She ought to have been sacked, but, instead she was promoted.

actually, even before Obama the press was showing the yellowness of their true colors.

It all pretty much comes down to money. To get at the money they need as much access as possible. All just to keep eyeballs glued to the TV to boost raitings and revenue.

So, in the run up to the Iraq war the press was almost if not worse the the government officials in making excuses to get into that war. Instead of investigating the claims, they were amplifying them nightly with artist versions of what a mobile anthrax lab might possibly look like. In effect they were the ones teaching lies as the truth. Of course since that war turned out to be a big pain they have wanted to distance themseves from their total failure and just focus on blaiming the administration. To top it off the administration at the time effectivly was cutting off the access they so craved. So, they sought to fix the problem in 04 by running the fake news about Bush's guard records. Heck, I had an impression back then that they were set up by the administration at the time. But they were desperate to sway the vote, and get their access back. So in an act of desperation they failed to validate the authenticity of the story and got pwned. Costing one of them his job. Now, the media was super mad and used their position as the gate keeper of information during the next election to make their candidate a super hero, and well.. we all see the results.

Folks like to see the media as a left or right thing. Hardly, it still all comes down to money. They discoverd some time ago that cash flow was far more important to them than annoying things like finding the truth and reporting it.

Do you and your neocon buddies seriously think the Nation controls the media? LOL.

And that ABC debate was one of the worst debates ever. It was all stupid questions like "WHY U DUN WEAR FLAG PIN" and "DO YOU LOVE AMEIRCA" and stupid 2nd grade crap like that.

I believe this is a clip of it:
