I was really excited to reach the last memory block (within 7 days) The story gripped me to my seat. I was really really really excited. I fought the last battle. After defeating Al-Mualim, i thought that Altair's memory will be complete and when we get back into the future (or present according to desmond 2012) we will defeat abstergo............................

BUT........... UBI says .................................................. ............
NOOOOOO!!!!!

WHAT WAS THE ENDING??? NO ONE CAME TO SAVE US, ACCORDING TO LUCY'S MAIL, (WHICH DECRYPTED TO SAY) WE WILL BE THERE SOON. WHERE WERE THEY??? THEY JUST CAME TO DIE??

UBI left AC as if it was a TV series. The story was very confusing. We couldnt afford to miss even one line. I really enjoyed the story but the ending spoiled the game.

UBI should had done like this

We were subject 16 (Desmond is 17) At the end, we would kill ourself and then leave the signs. In AC 2, we would be subject 17 and we would decrypt the messages. The current story was awesome but the ending SPOILED EACH AND EVERY CORNER OF THE GAME!!!!!!!

moreover, the ending is setting up the second game so they had to have a cliffhanger to confuse and spoil the fun for you. a definite ending means no other game makes sense to make. money, money, money, assassin3reed.

I think it was Kaxen that said maybe it was just a setup by Abstergo to get Desmond's hopes up and then crush them. He's contained in this little box and the only news he gets of the outside world is by word of Vidic and Lucy, and from the Abstergo news wire, which may or may not be true.

They've got cameras monitoring him even in the bathroom and while he sleeps, why would they let him steal a few pens by chance and get limited access to the outside world? Could be a setup the whole time with fake news wires to lead him into a false reality.

Besides, what kind of assassins would take a full frontal assault during the day without even sending one or two guys through the back door while the rest distract up front? Or wait until the night shift comes in?

Doubt everything, don't believe a word Vidic tells you, and stay away from the windows, those are fake too. @_@

Welcome, my friend, to the world of cliffhangers.

I still reside by my point: people are arrogant, ignorant fools.

Why is it that a cliffhanger in an established franchise is loved?
While a cliffhanger in a new franchise is despised to the depths of hell?

Isn't that proof of arrogance, ignorance and foolishness?

It is, ish.

I loved the way it ended. Perfect set-up for number two. And of course it left me wanting more. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Agreed. The ending kind of left me more in a state of ZOMG than a state of rage... @_@ I wanted to know what all that stuff meant.

Of course it is...-ish!
It's my logic after all... >_>

I loved the ending... it was like, "Woah... Ubi... you guys are messed up... I am so buying your next game!". xD

I mean, what sort of a person uses up all their blood to draw some Japanese building ad give you riddles that he knows that nobody can see in the first place?

He might have just given you the answers to everything... >_>

I actually didn't want to know what it all meant.

I mean, I'm interested in its meaning, but when it comes down to attempting to solve it myself, I'd just as soon wait for them to explain it to me in the next game. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I like solving puzzles, but not to that extent. Massive, cryptic, all in different languages, and there's no telling where to start and where to finish. I decided to avoid it from the moment I saw it because I knew if I got wrapped up in trying to solve it, I'd never finish and I wouldn't want to give up halfway through. I'd be a mess for weeks. >_<

I want to know how long it took them to make up all the stuff. Heck... I tried writing in the code for the pyramid of text and it took bloody forever.

>_> lol, I should draw a gag comic where Subject 16's secret message is something just in plain English...

"Muffins found here"

Now there's a secret message! xD

453 would be a better secret message. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

EVERYONE IS GETTING ME WRONG

I didnt meant that the game should be ended her, what i meant was that it just shouldnt had been left like this. I mean that the next installment (AC 2 ) will come after about 2-3 years. Until then, we will be wondering everynight what will happen in AC 2. Either they should had ended it or (at least) left to a scene which made some sense. Not like this (in which we cant even sleep).

If UBI wanted to finish the first part like this, they should launch the next version within a year or so (which is not possible)

Everyone thought that i didnt liked the ending, they are wrong, I am jsut angry becasue they left us to this climax and we will have to wait 2-3 years to know what happened.??

I think that they should had ended the game in this installment and started AC2 with a BANG!!!!!

ScytheOfGrim

And you are getting us wrong.

It is far better for them to end the game with a cliffhanger and leave people wanting more for "2-3" years, than it is to start the next game with a "BANG".

Think of it sales-wise, which is better?

Cliffhanger, without half a doubt.

If you spend every single night thinking about what is going to happen next, then Ubi did their job, and they're practically forcing you to buy the next game.

LEaving to a cliffhanger is better for them, not for us. They will make us paranoid http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

EDIT: Yes, leaving to a cliffhanger is good, but not this kind of cliff hanger in which the cliff is also falling http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

True that, this is one heck of a cliffhanger... >_>

They can take the series so many ways...
The possibilities are almost limitless!

I still think that they incorporated all those riddles and languages just because they themselves don't know what to do with the series...
But that's me being paranoid for you... >_>

The game probably isn't going to take 2-3 years. All of the listings I've found have said that it will be here around 2009.

I'd rather it be a cliffhanger than knowing what's going to happen next and have to wait a year or two for the next game.

Going to bed not knowing, as compared to going to bed knowing, at least I don't get bored and move on when I don't know. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

this is 2008 people, so it's not that long a wait really. well, maybe not for the console people but for the pc gamers maybe...

This cliffhanger is nothing.
Look at Halo 3, it leaves you sitting there wondering "Ok...where-the-f**k is he going?" and it's the last game of the series (though I won't be surprised if they take the MC's story to a different titled game.)
But like everyone's said, sales=#1. Cliffhanger=sales. So, cliffhanger=#1. To Ubi anyways. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Personally I don't mind, I just say "Eh, it'll be explained sometime, all I can do is wait, why fret over it," and continue with life normall while subconciously I'm thinking "Ok...what'd it all mean? How did blah blah blah. What did blah blah blah. o-o OMG! WHEN'S THE NEXT FREAKIN' GAME COMING OUT?!" http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Just try to forget it for now, if it's really bothering you?
