I actually have the same problem, again with a D-link Router, so any help would be much appreciated.

Try enabling your DMZ in "advanced settings" this works on my wired D-Link router

I've no experience with D-Link devices, but if you make your PC into DMZ host then it is largely exposed to the intardnet.

Does the router have inbound and outbound ACLs? It is possible you have the inbound opened up on the correct ports but they are blocked outbound, at least that is possible on a Cisco.

I run a D-Link router and (after much consternation) found that my hosting "problem" actually had to do with my software firewall. For ZonaAlarm, it was necessary to reduce the Internet setting from High to Medium security, as this would "un-stealth" the ports used by the game.

Being totally paranoid, I would never, ever DMZ my computer.

See http://www.airwarfare.com/tech/conn.htm as well. Or perhaps: http://portforward.com/routers.htm and drill down to your router and the IL2 game (you may need to pick an older version of your router, though, as the list is a bit outdated).
