Is there any way to change the language after the install?
I tried changing the registry key "Product_Language" in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\UBISOFT\Myst IV - Revelation\1
but it didn't work.
Can someone help please?

Not that I am aware of unless ther eis a way to tweak it into the installation files. But I'm pretty sure it keeps from installing nearly as much data on your system by avoiding installing other languages language files.

Yes, it can be done. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

There is an unsupported an unofficial way to do it.

Someone will kill me for this one...

1) Copy the language/sound.m4b and language/data.m4b files from DVD1 and DVD2 to the "data" directory where the game is installed. Where 'language', is the new language that you want to install.

2) One of the DVD's should have an important file called "data.dsc" inside the data folder, copy that file into the game "data" folder, and change the "default_language( language )" option to the one that you want.
To avoid any problems I have deleted all the contents of the file and created a data.dsc files with this contents:

data.dsc
<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">
{localisation

default_language( spanish )

{languages
english(true)
spanish(true)
}
}
</pre>

Then only changing the default_language option I can play in one of these two languages.

Almlys workaround is OK for the Mac too. Some slight changes though:
1) To access the 'data' folder, you must 'show package content' of the 'myst4' app first.
2) Copy there the 'data.m4b' and the 'sound.m4b' files of the language you want in their appropriate named folder.
- 'data.m4b' files are located on DVD2
- 'soundm4b' files are located on DVD1. But here you have to search for INVISIBLE files...

Edit the data.dsc file in ../myst4/data/ the same way as described above...

Thanks Almlys for the tip... Wish we can activate the subtitles the same easy way...?
