Just got the game today and being a huge fan of the corsair this was the first thing I noticed when I went to do bombing run.
I was actually shocked when I approached 900kmh and still didnt hear a thing.
The corsair's dive whistle was one of its defining features and it feels like a part of the plane is missing without it..
Im actually surprised to see that only one other person seems to have noticed, but I guess if thats the case then it probably wont ever be implemented due to lack of demand.

I'd rather be able to carry bombs in the corsair MKII and take off than hearing it whistle.

Ah, the inevitable 'how could you care about x when y and z dont work?' reply I see so much on this board.
Well, I was just trying to do my part in pointing out something that could make the sim a little more authentic, something that hasnt really been pointed out yet. I am well aware that it has more serious problems.. Im Sorry I didnt redundantly compile a list of every known bug or inaccuracy in the same post if only to avoid an unecessary reply like that..

Assuming that fix A and fix B are as hard to apply as each other than one that is a major problem (planes blow up when being spawned, major FM issues)are ones to prioritise over things such as minor inaccuracies in audio effects.

Gee, obviously you think of yourself as a clever person Aaron_GT, so why post a moronic thing like that?
Obviously the critical bugs and errors need to be fixed first. OBVIOUSLY!
There are dozens of other threads here complaining that'canopy open/close sounds dont change' or 'where are the hydrolic sounds in gun turrets?' and they seem to be resonably discussed and endorsed as additions which would make the sim more 'authentic'.
I post something similar and get two jerk-*** responses.. What makes this ommision any less valid than those?
Im simply pointing something out that the devs may have overlooked so that they can add it to their to-do list, which they may have time to impliment after the major issues are solved.
If I didnt mention it then it might have totally eluded the devs, and then there would be no chance of it ever being implimented.. So once again I apologize for attempting to improve the sim in some small way if only to spare you people from wasting time typing superfluous replys.

Gutang... Yes, I agree with you about the corsair sound, Afterall "the whistling death" do means something.

Oh, And yes...I do agree with You too on the funky bunch, But thats what You get when posting something in a popular game forum... There always gonna be a dozen (less or more) of crazed fan boy with torch & fork ready to silence You if You even mentioned something thats missing or abit of flaw in the game.

Stukas have dive whistles, so I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to carry over to corsairs.

Isn't the whistling just the sound of air going over the radiators rather than a stuka type thing? Have I been trolled? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I would say he means to use the same function, not the same sound. The stuka sound (with activated dive breaks) is activated above a certain speed.

Just use the function at the corsair, set the activation speed higher and use whatever "whistling" sound (don't ask me, I'm not good at whistling, even at high speeds http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif )

if it's "so easy", why not http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
