Mmmmm, the Camaro RS is identical to the one I had. At the same time, I had an 88' Buick Grand National.

Many days went by where I contemplated putting the V6 Manard into the RS.

I still dream of that combo. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/inlove.gif

For my money the MG wins this round. Though that Volvo has sentimental value as my uncle had one when I was a child. It was a comfy ride. Bouncy as all get out.

I believe that is a MG TD not a TF. The TF had the headlights recessed into the fenders and the licence plate seems to indicate it is a TD. I always wanted to own a TF and actively looked for one back in 1960 when they were still quite cheap.

Always enjoy your pictures cawimmer. Keep posting m8.

A bit. I've owned about 40 cars and I'd have to say the GN was the most unique ride. I loved it. My only gripe was that the drive-train was in a grocery-getter.

The first day I got it my brother and I went for a spin. I said "let's see what it's got". With a turbo there's always a hesitation before the power kicks in. Strangely, I like that. Anyways, I pulled out on the road and eased it through second gear. If you give it any amount fuel in first, it looses traction. Once we were in second I put the pedal down half way. As expected there was a slight delay. But in no time the aceleration was pulling us into our seats and when we hit about 110kph it shifted into third and both rear wheels lost traction. Of course, when it started to fish-tail I let off the pedal. This was in mid summer on a hot dry day, on asphalt.

Like I said, it was a unique ride. I miss it.

BTW, my cousin aslo had one at the same time I did. He was part of a GN club. He told me that the majority of GN accidents involves the driver accelerating into the back of another car. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Older sedans usually have a bouncy suspension - unless it's a BMW. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Sounds like one of those beasts that need to be tamed. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Cool story. Sounds like a car with character. I like that. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

It was a great car but an even greater car would have been more logically designed. The drivetrain was awesome but the packaging was poor.

Hmm, now I'm thinking GN drivetrain in a 82' Vette. Sweeeet! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/inlove.gif
