View Full Version : Test Runway Objects, and taxi to take off

The "Test Runway 1" and "Test Runway 2" objects are a brilliant idea, and with a very simple change could give us something many have wanted for ages, the ability to have players taxi to take off.

Make a "test runway 3" that has zero, or minimal size. The runway bit itself would be clear, and have no thickness. Done. we can now place aircraft wherever we like, even in revetments.

The AI would still have to TO from a real runway, but you could have player planes start anyplace.

You could also use this to park the occasional AI plane so that strafers have some more interesting ground targets that break, leak, and burn/smoke.
