Have you noticed that? Any one can provide me the exact overheat time of A6?

Overheating depends partly on air temperature depending on daytime and region (map) and altitude and speed ,radiator settings, throttle settings , boost etc. (OIL Temp etc aside)

So asking for exact overheat time is a rhetorical question ? Cause i am afraid without exact conditions you could fill books with the correct answers.

I forgot to add that it's on the same dogfight mission.

I have times for FWA5. Keep in mind this was for PF.

Conditions: Airstart at 1000m, rad closed, 110% with erhote. Straight and level. Crimea, noon, clear.

Overheat- 3-something
Breakdown- 9:45

But A5 is something quite different. Someone please test the overheat time for A6 in 4.05, 4.071 and 4.08.

You will find that most aircraft have overheat times identical to other aircraft similar to them.

In any case, doing such a test will not harm you.

Slight OT about the Spit25Lbs in 4.08m:

Crimea map,12h00,sea level
Throttle @ 100% + Wep;

Overheat message in about 5min,not flickering anymore! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

- We AT LEAST get a perfect displayed overheat message that doesn't disappear as long as the pilot doesn't throttle back! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

+

- The radiators keep being wide open,providing a niiice 20km/h loss! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif

Quite happy to discover that, considering all the ultra weird behaviour of the overheating situation in Spit IXs till the 4.071m patch... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

I think that Blue sided flyers will have some (more) fun soon! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif

I didn't test the other Spits.

I've just tested the SpitIXc,SpitIXe & 25lbs again in the same conditions i described above:

All of these three marks suffer clear overheat message in about 5/6mn.
Reducing the throttle down to 85% permitts to recover a normal temp, but as soon as the pilot pushes the throttle again to 100% with WEP,it's overheat again Ultra-Shortly!

Very niceeeeee http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

JtD posted a link to a pile of tests he did in previous patches (4.04, from memory). Have a search and you might find it. He uploaded them as an HTML table somewhere.

cheers,
