Even though there is one screen with a cockpit view it seems that the game is meant to be played third person from the external view. Do you all really think that the time was really spent to make sure that the cockpits, flight models and other things were historically accurate. I don't think so. This game is made for a bunch of kids who don't know any better about this kind of thing. It seems to be just another shoot 'em up not at all like Il2. Anyone who thinks that Oleg has something to fear about this KIDS GAME is out of their mind. I can guarantee that once you play this Blazing Angels you will realize how much of a kids game it really is. Oleg has the best combat flight sim on the market due to his deidication to making the best there is. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK OLEG!!!!!!

Err... competition? A significant portion of that game (nope not worthy of "sim" label) is nothing more than a licensed copy of the IL-2 engine.

That game is a joke. I have seen footage of game play on X-Play or G4 in general and it is thoroughly arcade. I have seen the planes move from a chase perspective and it looks ridiculous, worse than any other flight-based shooter I have seen except perhaps that Wings Over Normandy ****, whatever it was called.

Game uses small detailed areas....not 500x500km or 1000x1000km areas. Thats why they are detailed. Its not breakthrough...try Crimson Skies....looks very cool...but its a shooter. Same as this one. Not to be confused with a simulation.

It will sell wildly anyway and start out the love in new kids that will bring them
on the journey for more. Is it worse than holding model or toy planes and imagining?
Isn't that how many of us started very young? Or maybe TV or movie or saw real planes?

Anyway, I see it uses IL2 engine somehow and I hope that 1C gets a percentage of the
gross sales of the new game. Don't accept a cut of the Net Oleg! They'll bleed out
from the Gross till there's only pennies left to escape paying you and taxes both!

Hm.....May be all of You are wright!
I don't know anything about the flight model of Blazzing Angels, but the ground objects are terrific!..And the explosions in the air are looking extreemly realistic!Hm...wellll...it seems this was raising a false alarm from My side...Sory!

It is good that theres an aircraft game for a console, as then they might discover theres a better sim version on pc. Sooner a/c sims become more mainstream and acceptable the better and if console versions are the only way to boost publicity, then so be it.

Just think, xbox one will have no FMB http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

And probably no skins, FMB, decent FM, or anything like that.

Ya know, I've ALWAYS had an interest in flight.

My first experience with a flight game was on the old SUPER NINTENDO. It was a World War One game that was fun. You played a British Pilot in an SE5a or a Spad or some generic plane. I'm not sure. But for a six button joypad it was a blast. You finaly meet with the Red Baron after defeating certain levels, including bombing missions.

Through my itinerations of gaming consoles I've always bought air and flight games. They were fun but also captivated my love of flight.

Now I'm a simmer. I am not sure if I'd have persued flight simming as heartily if I hadn't flown those earlier games.

So a "DUMBED" down version, while not attractive to us, may cultivate a new simmer in the making.

Everyone wins.

EDIT: I was just looking at the jpegs of the game, and couldn't see any RU planes.
Did I miss them?

I see the kids, which played airplane shooters on a console, coming to the sim - software and begin whining about the complicated handling of the aircrafts. And to please them, the FM of the sim will be toned down to the well known arcade level (like it was done with FB and PF)

For a console game it looks great- and console games are all about action, gentle learning curves, action, goog graphics, action, and action.
Once kids have had a blast with this they will get a taste for the more difficult and challenging simulators currently only available on PC's. I hope its a success for them.
D*amn kids these days, their toys are brilliant!

I actually had a chance to play it while at E3 this year and yes it€s an arcade game. Kind of fun actually and it looks great but it€s no sim for sure. It also has nothing to do with 1C or Oleg for that matter.

I hope it does well so that others may become interested in taking their flying to the next level. This genre needs additional people to join the ranks.

YOu see this is the metality which needs to be broken.....serious games like SIMS could be ported to next gen consoles...in fact these next gen consoles have so much more power over PCs i think its a crying shame that real sims are developed for them. If only we could purswade naturalpoint and CH to make hardware for them. We could solve the 3rd party stuff using xbox live OR we could download the content onto our pcs and use a usb card to load the data onto the the xbox 360 20 gig hardrive! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif Anyway there was a list of games in development for the xbox 360 one of them was "flight simulator X" http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

So what if its an arcade game? This is cool (for kids) and nicely done. No way is it historical or acurate. Its just IL2 Jr. But thats OK by me. While nothing short of laungerie gets me away from IL2, I still like Crimson Skys. Why? Because its fun. Thats what Blazzing Saddles.. I mean Angels is supposed to be. Yes, IL2 is a real sim. Immersive and serious. But its not going to get Ubi rich. Blazing Angels is probably going to sell like hot cakes. Beware of the up and coming little pilots it will create...

Well... maybe it's your right to say your opinion, but let me tell you it's a fairly stupid one:
1- Il-2, Forgotten Battles and Pacific Fighters can be all played "arcade" (easy difficulty) if you switch everything down.
2- Only morons are whining about features they already have and don't need to be adressed by developpers.
3- Other morons think that more income for developpers will cut their fun down.
