I have read that LW controlled their battle in the air by radarplotting at least in summer 1943, and could direct their a/c to the right point of height/time/place.

The first note of Soviet radarcontroll is from 1941/42 over Moskow for the protection of the Capital but it took some time before it came out to the field-units. Has anyone got other informations?

Could the airbattlecontrol be a part of the explanation why LW got initial great success?

That LW with radarguidance and good radioequipment could get info, and positon their fighters in favorable positions and dont bring in their bombers until the air was free from Laggs and Yaks?

In any case I would enjoy if there came orders from groundcontrol in in the game, as an option, like "heavy bombers in grid AC10 5000 heading 270"

The airbattle control should be as good as it was at that time of the war according to destruction, weather and other detailes.
How about this?

Luftwaffe success:

1) Pilot quality was unmatched. (at least at the beggining)

2) Lutfwaffe always dictated the terms of engagement because of the significant altitude advantage their planes had over russian.

3) Radio. ALL Luftwaffe planes had Radio. Many russian planes and tanks did not.

Do you know anything about the quality of the groundcommand?

Take this example you will make a ground attack with some IL-2 you escort them with some Yaks, if you stay low (>3000) the Me will dive down and then zoom up again. It will make the attack cycle for some minutes, and much can happend in theese minutes in the air.

What do you think about adding fighter/bomber-command to the game?
