View Full Version : Alternate Ending?

While I was at Dragon Con this past Labor Day weekend, while walking around in my Altair costume, I met a few people who loved the game.

One of them mentioned an alternate ending.

He says that you can get the alternate ending by finding all the flags in all the cities/Kingdom and killing all the Templars in all the cities and Kingdom.

And he says that the only difference is that at the end of the game, once the credits are done and you're normally left to wander around the lab area and use your Eagle Vision on everything... The alternative is that Lucy comes back into the lab to get Desmond and takes him out of the lab.

Has anyone else heard about this?

I did a search for anything having to do with an alternative ending and all I could find was how everyone is just as annoyed as I am, that the flags and Templars give you NOTHING and that there is no alternate ending.

I don't recall if he said it was on PS3, 360 or the new PC version of the game, so I'm sorry that I can't give any more info, based on what he told me.

Also... How's the new content/scenes in the PC version? I'd love to play some new stuff right now! God knows how often I've played the game by now... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I would try it out for you... but...

I only have one flag left in Damascus, and I'm so ticked off about not being able to find it that I just don't wanna bother looking for it anymore. That's the only flag left in the game that I need to get, too.

And I only have one Templar left, also. I know where he is, but I'm waiting to kill him until after I find the final flag. Because I'm crazy and don't want to have the Templar achievement right in the middle of a flag achievement streak...

There's a few places that offer good maps for the flags, if you don't have a map already.

Try this one... http://forum.assassinscreedx.com/showthread.php?t=774

I used a map guide, that's why I don't want to find the final flag.

Because I would have to start literally all over again in the Poor District and make my way to the Rich District, looking for one measly flag that could be anywhere...

I'm tempted to just kill the Templar and forget about it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Anyone hear anything about his?

The guy I spoke to was adamant that he and the two other guys he was with, ACTUALLY saw this scene.

I think its bogus as people have said the same thing has happend under differant conditions and if it was tru more people would be posting about it as loads of people have atleat 100% compleated the 360 version.

The new content on the PC is pretty cool. The new missions add more flavor.

Alos IMO, the visuals are even better than the PS3 and 360. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

I've also heard this same rumour, sometimes with the exclusion of the templars. I'm pretty sure it's fake, people are just trying to get fans to waste their time collecting the flags. If there was actually an alternate ending, I'm sure we would know for sure. Only a true fan/gamer would complete the game 100%, and I imagine they would upload it to youtube or something similar.

If I remember correctly, IGN said that collecting all the flags and killing all the Templars does not give you any extra content. Which of course, dissapointed them.

I completed the game 100% for the PS3 a while ago and have been through the ending twice. There is no alternate ending.
