Question is... how do I actualy raise the sight into position? When plane initially loads it is moved out of the way and I can see it operate.

Thx is advance.

I think it only rolls back if your reflector sight is damaged by gunfire. Automatic...you cant move it yourself!

It's not a bombsight, it's a backup gunsight in case the reflector sight is damaged. As mentioned in the first reply, it will automatically come back up if the reflector sight is damaged, there is no control for it.

The graphics model for damaged reflector sights was missing from the initial release of PF (not finished in time for release) so the reflector sight looks ok even after it's damaged. Nevertheless the backup sight only comes up when damage has been done.

I'm not sure if the missing damage graphics have been added in a patch or if they're still missing.

In reality I don't think the backup was used because the gunsight was damaged . . . the odds of actually damaging the sight without damaging the pilot are slight though not impossable. My guess is that it was handy if the bulb burned out during a dogfight. It might take a few minutes to load up the replacement bulb (I don't know about the Japanese sights, but most other sights carried a spare) or the second bulb may have burned out or been dropped. I believe the gunsight damage element of the game is like some other elements in the game . . . http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif.

Well, anyway . . . http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
