http://goo.gl/0O6W6, long story short, a studio called Ubisoft Massive has announced today that would be doing something related to the AC universe, but a few years ago Ubi head said that Ubisoft Massive would be put to work on MMOs.

your thoughts??

OMG! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif It's all coming back to me! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

One year ago, someone brought up the concept of an AC game that would be a MMORPG.
One of the characters he thought it could include was; wait for it, the 'Assassin Magician'! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Anyway, It's a maybe for me..

I think it has a lot of potential. If they made it properly, it could be an amazing game. They would have to make levels low to minimize grinding, or maybe make all of the "skills" related to core elements of normal gameplay so you level with ease as you play.

Maybe each player can have a customizable set of ancestors in different time periods, each with abilities that they're distinctly better at, such as Free Running for one and Fighting for the other. The longer the player spends with the ancestor that's got the best of a certain skill, the better they become at it through the bleeding effect. Thus you're ultimately training a modern day character by playing as fully trained ancestors.

Through that, you slowly but surely level, and in an enjoyable way. Experience to go and such wouldn't be shown, it'd just go into a bar that fills as you're playing. Certain activities would give a bit more experience, like while free run sprinting you may get 1 experience per second, but while free run rooftop jumping you get 2.

It could be pretty awesome. Some skills might be:

1 - Free Running
2 - Close Combat
3 - Ranged Combat
4 - Stealth
5 - Constitution

Constitution could be trained on all ancestors while fighting. If an ancestor gets hit and recovers from the wound, your character gets Constitution points.

At the end of each session, as you log off, it could show your modern-day character slipping out of the Animus, a brief bleeding-effect-esque sequence, where you see the experience bars adjusting, and then your character lies down in a bed.

So many ideas. I'd pay good money for a properly made AC MMORPG, or just a normal RPG.

This game was not meant to be an MMORPG.

Initially I was unsure, but I'd have to hear more about it to make a decision.

To be fair, it's not something you can instantly say no to because as others have said, it has a lot of potential. When you think of MMO RPG's everyone(virtually) thinks about WoW. Now, when I add WoW and the AC franchise together I get a headache, quite a sharp one behind the eyes. But, if I throw out all my WoW hang-ups, there really is a chance of it being amazing.

Only time will tell.

If it has high system requirements and/or costs money, I'll probably won't be getting it.

Considering we will see an AC MMORPG, but I higly doubt it.

Well, a sort of cooperative online action-RPG would certainly be interesting. It'll be interesting to see what it's gonna be.

but you're assuming that this game will be pc only, i understand that a keyboard and a mouse are the best controllers for mmo rpg, but would ubi seriously eliminate the 360 and ps3 consumers for this game (which let's be honest, ps3 and 360 make up the vast majority of the ac sales).

If this game is only for the PC, then Ubisoft will lose a lot of money since a large majority of the gamers that buy AC have a system.. And if they make it into some game were u have to wait for ur turn or there are hit points until u kill a guy then this game will suck (for me and i wont buy it). However if they make it like a normal AC game, with all the ways you can kill, but just this time they add a level up aspect to the game. I would like to see Master_Rahl idea in the game. and with the long range i want to have a bow and arrow, but no lock on system, instead a aiming system :P. that would be great and so much fun.

I know, but because I can't connect my PS3 to the Internet(Not because of JailBreak) I have to rely on my computer.

Again?!

Listen: Project Legacy is NOT an MMO.

Additionally, PL has been known about for quite some time and it's been released, whereas clearly we are talking about an unreleased game that nobody knows anything about. So obviously they are not the same thing.
