I can see the briefings for single-player missions, but when I go online via Hyperlobby I can see no briefings no matter the server.

Any ideas on this?

Thanks,

Chris

Typically you have to select your plane before the briefing appears, if there is one. This is because the briefing can vary depending on what army you choose. Once you read the brief, you have to go back to arming screen and adjust your load out for the mission.

If you bought it/run it through Steam then... yes. Read this thread: http://www.battle-fields.com/c...-up.&highlight=steam (http://www.battle-fields.com/commscentre/showthread.php?22581-MP-Mission-Briefing-not-showing-up.&highlight=steam)

That's a new one for me. Unless Steam fixed it recently I know of two other folders that are missing from the Steam version. There are probably more but I don't have both to compare them.

Steam does not have the <span class="ev_code_YELLOW">Quicks</span> and <span class="ev_code_YELLOW">NetCache</span> folder which are on the DVD.
Create a new folder for each of them and insert them in the Steam directories that are similar to the standard install.
(There is nothing in the folder it's just an empty folder with the names I highlighted in yellow put in the correct location.)

Standard DVD Install:
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\<span class="ev_code_YELLOW">Quicks</span>
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\PaintSchemes\<span class="ev_code_YELLOW">NetCache</span>
You will need to put them in the correct Steam directory for them to work.

The Quicks folder is where the sim keeps the Quick Missions that you save. If you don't have the folder there is no place for you to save the QMB missions. If you don't use the QMB save feature you won't miss it until you want to use it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

The NetCache folder is where the sim initially keeps the skins that are used for an .ntrk video or the skin someone uses during online play. If you don't have the folder there is no place to save the skin and any .ntrk made without having that folder will not use the correct skin during playback. IIRC, It uses the default skin.
