Thought I share these pics I took when I went to The Fantasy of Flight attraction last summer in Florida. This TU-2 seemed interest me most. It's not in the best of shape but really interesting to look at.

Thank you Wetwilly87. I can send the original's to who ever might be able to use them if it'll help any. They are better detailed. I had to reduce these for the host site.

ow, look how high that gunsite is, the yak9 is the same way but not in fb.

What the modelers need is close up gauge shots that show writing on them, front left right up floor and back. These are some great shots im wondering do you live close to the museum because closer details are needed for oleg to accept 3d pits all writing has to be exact.

Great Pics once again and thx for sharing them

I could get some more pics of the TU-2. I only live about 20 or 30 minutes from there. I'll ask the manager if it would be alright to go behind the rope area to get as detailed shots as I can. That's why I only got what I did...lol. All's I need is some criteria for the shot's and I would be happy to help. The best camera I got is a Kodak Advantix 3200 AF and I took these shots with it.

I've just spoken to a gentlman at Fantasy of Flight and have set up an appointment for this Sunday, 11 Jan, to take more shots of the TU-2 cabin. He is going to have thing's ready so I can get the best shots possible. I explained the reason behind my request and he was very understanding.

He also told me there is a PO-2, no not a PE-2...lol, on display too so I will get plenty of shots of that plane too. He explained to me this was a trainer that was pressed into service as a night fighter or bomber and was called the "Night Witch".

I'm looking forward to Sun very much and will have the shots posted on the internet as soon as they are developed.

If any of you ever vist Orlando Fla. you have to go to "Kermit Weeks Fantasy of Flight Museum". It west of Orlando on interstate 4 in Polk City. Words cannot do the place justice, you guys have to see it to believe it. BTW, it's the Largest Private Warbird Collection in the world.

Hey thanks for helping us guys that want these birds in FB, its really appriciated, try and get as many shots as you can and from diffrent angles too, even take pictures of the floor, we all want a very detailed cockpit dont we? Oh yea the gunner stations are really important, as well as the cockpit instruments. Thank You again, and good luck.

The list below is what I've got that's needed so far. This is very good input. Add all you want or need. I've got this thread book marked so I'll keep checking it up to the time I leave Sun morning.

Multiple angles and distances of everything, inside and out, including all of floor area.

Tape measure. I'll try to measure everything but is there any specific distances of thing's that need to be measured?

Plenty of shots of gunners areas.

Plenty of shots of instruments.

And that Storch is flyable!

I was there in August of 2002 and got to see them take it for a flight. Then the pilot landed, came to a stop, powered back up and took off again...all within a distance of 75 yards, max! Very cool.

Kanno, the PO-2 needs good pictures. As the man said above, close ups of gagues so you can see the lettering. And measure a couple of things. Depth of gagues would be a good reference. Somebody, someday *will* do a cockpit for that plane. Which must be flyable.

Help the community it out man, you rock.
