2 votes and both for the Dora. Convincingly the best at 100%.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Crashing online as :FI:SpinyNorman

Normally Spiny Norman was wont to be about
twelve feet from snout to tail, but when Dinsdale was depressed Norman could be
anything up to eight hundred yards long.

Too subjective. Depends on the situation and application.

If I HAD to choose, though, I'd say either the G2 or the D9-44 (though I prefer the A9 sans Mk108's over all of them)

best is subjective http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif i picked late war tyoes because it narrows the subject down a little otherwise we could pick Bf 109 F4 up until 1942 ect<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Obviously Dora, other planes are barely worth mentioning while some are one big POS especially late 109's.
With the Dora, and actually my most common plane of choice is FW190A9, which is basically the only Anton that is somewhat worth mentioning, it's more versatile(bombs) and has more guns including the mk108 option. To those two there is also Ta152, very fast at high alts, cr@ppy roll rate due to bigger wingspan(btw where's improved turn-rate? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif) but most important of all in the Ta152 is believable gunsight http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
P.S. I very rarely fly on the Pacific http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Was dogfighting La7s yesterday in D9 45 and the D9 just has so much combat potential that even against the silly La7 it owns. I then switched to Ta 152 H - combat was below 3000m so at a bit of a disadvantage but the Ta 152 could hang in manuvers better than the D9 without washing out, but its rate of roll reminded me of dogfighting in P47. Great gunsight and deadly guns but I still prefer D9s weapons for some reason ?

I chose D9 44 - its a really tough choice though. D9 45 feels like it holds more Energy but D9 44 has ednge up high and it will run longer at full boost.

J2M3 for PTO for me though. With a cool engine its the best fighter there bar none.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

J2M3(5).
You just gotta love the thing. Somehow it looks very cool and its got some nice abilities too.
Against F6F5's , P38's and even P-51's it's a killer. Not to mention FM-2's.

I picked the Dora as well, because it is simply the best.

It's small, fast, maneuverable, tough and well armed. Only shortcoming is the poor view from the cockpit.

The Dora. That J2M3 ain't bad though.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I don't quite understand peoples affection with the J2M3. It's clearly worse than the Ki-84 imho. It can't even dogfight some of the US birds and is totally outclassed speedwise. There isn't much the 84 can't do better.

outclassed speedwise ?????
you should geive it a try again !
its fast, till 5000m only a little bit slower than the Hayate.
it has 4 powerfull guns - the navy 20mm are better than the army 20mm in game - lot of ammo.
and by far not so nervous than the Hayate.
and in turnradius, i cant tell wich one has the smaller.
in climb the Raiden is also very good !!
actually its performance was a surprise in game for me !
i never read , in books or internet, about such a performance........... wondering wich sourc

You really need to add the N1K2 or better still N1K3.....Though Mustangs over Japan r/l routinely didn't bother to give chase on Ki84's, TAIU testing of the N1K2 on series stated point blank it was easily as good "any" American fighter.......That's saying quite a bit considering they're comparing it to Hellcats, Mustangs, and P47's and naturally all before.

We often fail to remember that just because numbers did not fall on par, that doesn't mean the planes didn't.......The N1K3 and subsequent 4 & 5 would of eaten alive what many consider some of the finest fighters ever built.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Not entirely......He praised them then hated them, then praised and hated.....Initial teething issues primarily landing gear turned many off.......Post your quotes, then post all of his opinions on it.

Then compare it to a group actually testing it....Bitterness does not make for a good report.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

The earlier Antons are fantastic in their contemporary year.

FW190A4 in 1942 - Amazing

FW190A5-6 1943 amazing

Fw190 A6-A9 1944 amazing

I cannot understand people saying that the early Antons suck, they are among the top3 best fighters in their correct year. Maybe they are thinking of flying the FW190A4 in 1945? :P<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

D9'44 if I'm "not a pound for air to ground".
A9 if I'm doing both a2a and a2g.

Do335 is awesome, but due to very limited operational service credentials really fits into the Luft46 category. As such I'll reserve judgement on it until I get 4.07 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Saburo Sakai died in September 22, 2000 (rest in peace). In theory he might just had. In the days, when IL-2 demo was out http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Is it just me or does the Dora 45 feel like it holds energy better through manuvers?

Been flying it against Mustang IIIs, P47 DLates, P38 Lates and YP80s on one map and then against La7 x3 20mm , Yak3 x3 20mm on another map. Its a top plane even when you have a Jet or two on your 6 lol<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

He219's success is open to discussion. Ive read confliction reports.

If you want to pick a plne not on the list which was undeniably good at its job then you'd be going some to beat the Storch<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Dora-9 1944 hands down, even though I prefer to fly Antons.

The problem with the A-9 (my late-war bird of choice) is the pathetic behavior of the Kommandogerat. Below 300kph it completely bogs down and you have no low-end power or acceleration available to you. This is a complete joke for a fighter that boasted over 2100hp.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Best axis fighter ?

Hmmm for me its either X, or Y although Z did have its good points too but I felt the cockpit was undermodeld and a little one dimensional.
