Just curious - do you get better performance out of the AC by using complex engine, or is it mainly just for the immersion factor?

There's a bunch of info about complex engine-management at www.airwarfare.com (http://www.airwarfare.com) - all you need to know.

With allot of planes you can get advantages. The FW190A's perform better using manual pitch for instance (contrary to a real life FW190 which had a fantastic engine managment system). With others you'll get advantages with all aspects of aircraft performance using prop pitch. You can also manage your fuel better using CEM.

Thanx - How about the P-51D? Can you get better speed out of it? I found the Gerhard article at Airwarfare - very comprehensive.
