Why do the planes spawn in a wide array and facing in all direction on the new maps for version 4.07? It's very difficult to see where the runways are without ground crew marshalling you out! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

BTW, Thanks! What a great add-on and patch!!<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Is there any way to affect this? To force a forward facing spawn for DF servers?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

No....spawn points on airbases are predefined by the map maker.

This is yet another reason why mission builders should spend at least a cursory amount of time setting up some objects on a runway to make the shape of the field more obvious.

In real life you'd at least have some guides and probably some out of cockpit prior familiarity. The least a map maker can do is place a few hangars or a control tower to try and mark things off.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

That's exactly what I did to compensate...created some typical obstacles and markers at the ends of the runways. As people fly the maps they will become more familiar, but I can't help but wish there wasn't a learning curve to taxiing to the runway.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
