Wow. That's certainly something you don't see everyday. I'm curious how he came across it.

"Very famous German reflective gunsight. Original Luftwaffe Revi C/12D gunsight, excellent condition, with operating bulb, cord and plug, leather crash pad, both the clear and dark glass in perfect condition. Used on a varierty of fighters such as the Fw-190, Bf-110 and Bf-109 along with other aircraft. This is a piece of history that every serious collection should have in his collection."

I would so take it right from the shipping package and tape it to my dashboard.

Oh! How the mighty have fallen!!!!

Did you notice that in one of the photo's was an empty baby food jar!

My guess is that 'Life' caught up with him in the end and his wife is making him sell off his beloved collection to feed their new bundle of Joy!

Oh how my hart weeps for him!!!!!!

I always wanted a wristw@tch from the war, from any side. But they always seem to be, rightly, cost prohibitive. If I could find a replica watch I am pretty sure that I wouldn't want it. I have a Soviet era wristw@tch (around 1980 ish) that is very nice. Though it of extremely poor quality. Still I like it though.

Looks fairly 'new'..
I like the Potentiometer for the light bulb... it's huge http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif... "Voorsprung .."

Yes, I'd also like to know how they got their hands on that... Should be an interesting story http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

TBH, I don't understand how a plane gunsight can be considered a piece of nazi militaria. It's just a ww2 gunsight, no svastikas or political stuff in it. Here you have, Brems. Just a Revi.

A 1972 Rickenbacker 4001, two Fender Jazz basses (one Mexican made, the other American), and an Ibanez SR800.

I agree! 100%

I had my first 6 years ago and although I haven't had to part with anything, my restoration plans for my 1973 Valiant Charger (Australian built) have died in their tracks. Poor old thing is getting older and rustier!

But on the bright side, it will give me and my boy something to do when he gets older!
Unless, of course, he turns into a greenie and condems me for owning a fossil fuel guzzling dinosaur! ("OH DAD! how could you do that to our plannet!!!!!")
