I had posted a message on the pacific fighter forum about not being able to view objects that are in the game but never got a single response. For example you can view one variant of a B-17 although there are 4 in the game. There is no B-29 available for preview. Same with the B-25s although there are multiple versions with very different capabilities. I do not know if any for example have the 75mm gun which proved very useful in the pacific campaign but there must be a big difference in the strafing ability of the different models. The preview is missing ZEKE Am-7s which are seen on one of the flyable planes but they definitely have a different armament than any of the others. You pick this plane and you have no idea what you have to shoot with or how many rounds you have and you do not know its performance.

There are also ships like the small escort carriers that are not in the view object list as well as landing craft for both sides. Vehicles like the tracked landing craft the Marines used and DUKWs are not there. Important artillery pieces are missing like the US 105 howitzer, 75mm antitank gun and all of the heavy anti-aircrart guns for both sides as well as the quad 0.50 M-16 half-track are not there.

Not having these available is an oversight for the following reasons

They are visible in the mission builder although they are very small and no real detail can be seen. Unlike the preview screen however there is no option to view the characteristics of the weapons. A bigger window or the edition of these items to the preview objects would be a big help.

By not having them we do not know what some of the variants are capable of. For example if we are going into an area with flack and we have no idea of the altitude the Jap 75mm AA gun can reach then how can we plan missions effectively? If we do not know what the offensive armaments or speed or range of a plane is then how can we plan missions. I have not gotten into the development of missions in the mission builder yet so I do not know if it would be possible to develop a mission for a B-29 or an early B-17 (D) or any of the B-25s only to find out that the range would just be less than the range in the game version of the planes and then have them all crash in the sea when they run out of gas.

Yes, we can see the loadouts in the mission builder but we can see the guns or performance.

Any hope of getting all of the objects in the preview along with at least minimal specs? If not then a file listing the specs of each model in the game. To have made the game you must have this info so all I would ask is that we get access to it.

I still cannot understand why no PF tracks have been added to the site. Certainly there have been some very good battles that others would enjoy watching

This means something. This is important.

Lol.

But seriously. I would like to see a fact sheet available in dogfight/coop briefing (more buttons?)..It's really useful to know the specs and role of an airplane before you fly it. It would be nice to have the other objects listed there, too.

I think players should also be able to see a .jpg aerial shot or a rendered image of the target (BW photo style?) somewhere in the dogfight/coop briefing (more buttons?)...Well..offline, too. I just seem to always fly in HL. :P
