My 6800gt idles at 56c and is usualy around 77c while gaming. Has gotten as high as 81c after a few hrs of doom 3. Since the threshold for problems is 120c I would not be concerned.

My 6800 GT (a Point of View) is also at about 60‚? idle. But after two hours of HL‚¬≤ it reaches 70‚? max. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

71‚?C - 75‚?C max.

with automatic overclocking and new drivers.

Asus EN6800td-PCIe: 62 degrees C after 2 to 3 hours of FS2004 (all graphic slides maxed out).
By the way: I wonder if the SH3 6800GT (with specific driver?) "bug" also applies for the 6800td.

I may have a 6800 ultra then (installed this morning), but my temps are 56 & 38 at idle. what the temps are with load, I don't know yet.

My 6800gt (evga) runs at 55C at idle (39C ambiant temp). I think thats about what they all run at, regardless of brand.

I've got an eVGA 6800 Ultra, and my temps are about the same: 53* Idle, 75* loaded...36* ambient temp.

6800 ultra 71.84 drivers

GPU idle 48-49 goes to mid/upper 50s with hours of heavy use.

CPU 38 idle tops out at 64 under hours of very heavy use.Usually reads high 50s after gaming session.

I installed a 520Watt PSU before the card.

I'm told there is a temp bug with the drivers and Nvida mentions there may be a 20% error in the readings (too high). If so.... I have not seen it or else I'm really cool.

Some Ultra Cards don't show the temp bug because their core clock is set to 400mhz by default.

Sometimes, settings the 2D clock to 400mhz, saving it, and setting it back to default cures the temp. bug on 6800GTs.
