A little while ago I was flying offline in an I-16 Type 24, tailing a pair of B-239's (Finnish Buffaloes). For some reason they were swooping barely a few feet off the ground as they tried to escape me. I let fly with a burst of my cannons and mg's and hit the 2nd plane in the pair, which slowly spun over and crashed...its crash then caused the first plane to get knocked out of the sky and flip over and hit the ground, and I got credited with both kills.

Pretty cool, I've been playing this game for about a year now and have been knocked out of the sky a couple times when I flew to close to a crashing enemy, but I'd never gotten a two-for-one kill like that.

Also it was nice because I haven't played Il-2 for a few weeks, and I'm still a bit rusty.

If you got credited with both, you must have hit the first one as well.
Would you happen to have the track? I would like to see this.
If you didn't hit the first plane, even with one bullet, then this is the first that I have heard of getting a credit like this.
I am still seeing and hearing about new things in Il2. When someone does mention something that I have never seen before, I would also like to see it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

No sorry I wasn't recording it, kinda wish I had.

It's possible I hit the lead plane with a stray bullet, but I was definitely aiming at the one behind him--like I said I shot a short burst at him and then it was a few seconds before he hit the ground and I think blew the lead plane's tail off making him crash.

I was definitely surprised to get credited with both kills, last night I kept not getting credited with kills when I'd fill up an enemy plane with lead then they'd pull a stupid maneuver and crash.

last night I was playing a single player campaign flying RAAF P40E's out of Port Moresby. Its a scramble, I take off and claw for alt.

I see a bomber string coming in, and I head for them. I'm still 1500 ft below them, bettys I can now make out (no icons), when I see 2 break out and dive on me. I'm thinking either Vals making a bomb run or escorts. They were Oscars, but once I noticed that, the lead Oscar had filled my screen wing tip to wing tip. I snap a fast burst, and jam the stick forward, knowing this dumb AI is going to hit me. The lead flashes by..no impact...but his #2 is flaming, I pitch over left and the lead is going right in the bay, must have been a head shot, and his #2 burns to cinders.

2 kills off one desperate snap shot...heh

After that another Oscar and I danced for 20 or so minutes and he left me heading home, winchester, talking to myself....damn AI

hey Ba5stard5word,

Nice of you to do a post, because I wanted to ask you if the link you have for game 2 of air pirates , with extra missions, I believe, is working (the one on pg 7 or so of the thread).

I clicked on it the other day and got an error msg of some sort.

sorry to be off-topic...gonna try for a threefer next time?

hmm I'm not sure why you would get that error, it looks ok to me.

get it here:

http://mission4today.com/index...e=Downloads&get=3625 (http://mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&get=3625)

I disabled the file for the original Air Pirates because for some reason M4T won't let you delete things you upload, but the file for both of the newer "Full Edition" should be working fine.

Actually my 2-for-one kill was in the first SPB mission in the Full Edition part 1. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
