Yeah, Plumps is great with a camera. He´s also great at recognizing the potential shot. This, IMHO, is what makes a photographer a professional and an artist.

http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Great photos ,he has an eye for composition,my only slight concern is that he has used a shutter speed that has almost stopped the props, maybe max shutter speed of 1/250 th second just to keep the prop blur but that is NOT a criticism.

Great Photography... I hope the small puff of smoke that a 109 releases when the pilot throttles up is modeled in BoB like it is in those pictures!

Great pictures, and I believe taken with a camera almost anyone can afford, the Pentax *ist. Must be time for me to persuade the missus I need a new digital camera!

No matter how many videos I watch or how many air shows I've been to, that video gets my heart racing every time...that DB engine is the sexiest sounding engine I have ever heard...period!

You're right; that was the first airshow I attended with a camera in 20 years (the last time was at the Canadian Air Force Base Baden-Soellingen in the 80s), so my main concern was not to get too many pictures blurred due to camera shake, and the shutter speeds often were 1/1000 second or similar.

Yes, the camera is a Pentax *ist DS (the viewfinder is better than that of the *ist DL or most other DSLRs in that price range).

But as regular readers of this forum will know: "It's the man and not the machine!" http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

While you try to persuade your missus don't forget that you'll also need a lens or two. The pictures shown here were taken with focal lengths between 16 and 300 mm (35 mm equivalent: 24 - 450 mm).
