I suspect you will see some nice improvements in overall handling and most importantly in acceleration.

Anyone flown it yet? What do you think?

zen with the new 50s and new planes i think ta152 will get tested last. jugs zoom better spit nines carry way more ammo and i believe can stand up to the K4 even!! all the american planes are deadlier due to guns and there are some Devastating yaks now and they can now dive 120 faster than before. so ta will be last tested trust me sorry. p.s. i love the ta but i need to know about all other planes first

The Ta is almost an all new plane IMHO. She's deffinitely faster now that's for sure. Roll is virtually the same, I'm not sure about acceleration as I haven't tested it yet, but it feels more nimble and it turns better, as does all the other Fw 190's. Or so it seems to me.
The Ta is now almost as fast as the D-9 from ground and up to(at least) 5500m.
The Spitfire HF MkIX, is a tough adversary even at 10,000m. Mainly because it turns better. The Ta on the other hand will outclimb it, aswell as outfly it, with ease I might add! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

The D-9 also feels better. It's still as fast, and climb seems to be left untouched, but it was ok to begin with. Except for the D-9 '45 which still needs another meter/sec.

The best part though is the improved MG151's and Mk108. They sure do make alot of damage now!

These are my first impressions. I reserve the right to change my mind in the future! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

If they have "fixed things then oooh goody http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif - see my other posts about patch first impressions. I purposefully did not fly the TA152 in my first "taste" of the patch as I wanted to see the new stuff, plus I only had 15mins. However I may just have to go rectify that ..... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Ok had a preliminary drive in the thing:
saw 790kmh at 10680 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/784.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/784.gif (vulnerability and overheats off) Pitch 85, rads 6. 100% fuel and armed Over crimean map as somebody recomended to me a while ago.

Granted I managed more than the standard 765kmh (have to say I was looking out the window at the ground below when that came up so I missed it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif )but overall I am very impressed. Not the most objective of tests I will admit, but it now seems to climb like there's no tomorrow - happily saw 13500m and stayed up there at 500kmh no less http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif

just my bits of fun. Managed 820kmh at 11200m and went all the way up to 14000m before patch so I've a bit to go yet http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif but I reckon my joystick needs recalibrated/tightened in game. Also, flights were as 'level' as I could get them (wish that damn level stabilizer still worked...)not mastered the art of 'trim' properly yet, but getting there.

In short, my answer to topic question - "Its even nastier... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif - I LOVE IT" http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/784.gif

And here's me not having shot at anything in it yet..... (can't wait!)

Oh yeah and I won a bid on ebay for a second MSFFB2 so it HAS been a good day http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

WHOO-HOOOOOOO!

*breaks into a 70's style boogie*

Its GREAT to hear all these improvements! Oleg has finally realeased a patch by which future patches will be judged. I'm ecstatic about the improvements of the MG 151/Mk 108/103 and the American planes, and not to mention the inclusion of the Spit IX. Downloading now.

How is the B-25?

I been flying the FW all types for about 2 years. and this is the best ptach in my eyes. the overheating has dropped greatly. i think the turning is about the same tho. damage model is great and i am loving the new 30mm. i been testing them out and every time i get a direct hit there is always damage. no more p 51's or any other planes shruging them off after a nice hit. o and i think the ta is a bit faster to the point that its flyable to me again. the last patch was the worst for me but this one more them makes up for it.

I hope they fixed the Ki-84s so the online arcade types can't fly around in them like they ate Tie-Fighters.

D/L as we speak.

Dude, no offense, but, if you really think that, then either you never actually encountered many, or perhaps you need to work a bit on your tactics.

This thread ties a few of my thoughts together.

IN the original AEP I have been having a blast shooting down Ki-84, Spitfire and everything else, with the P-40 field mod. All they had to do was get into a turn fight with me. The P-40 would turn toe to toe with the Ki, and once they commited to turn and burn and lost their E advantage the P-40 could keep up with them and pepper them into submission.

Despite the fun I have had in it, I am hoping in the patch that the P-40 has been tamed down quite a bit. In the history books it was used as a zoom and boomer, not a turn fighter. It was not fast except in a dive and not good at high altitude, and would not turn with a Jap fighter.
