Greetings! I just bought Pacific Fighters, loaded it and the half-dozen or so training missions (carrier take-offs and landings) don't really tell you anything. What about weapon usage, etc. Am I missing something obvious?

QMB, quick mission builder. Regarding weapon usage, what do you mean? Dropping bombs, gunnery, rockets, bazooka tubes? Practice is the key, you cant expect to be a great pilot in just a few tries. Some have guides to help you out. Try here: www.airwarefare.com (http://www.airwarefare.com)

Most flight simulators have a reasonable amount of training missions for a newbie. I'm a Falcon fan myself and it has a ton of them.Hell of a manual too. This is my first WW2 game. The first "training" mission has a sub-title that says a carrier takeoff is difficult and I should train on land. Are there additional training missions somewhere?

I haven't actually looked at the training missions much myself, but I'm pretty sure from what I remember there was an option of what plane to train in? If that's the case, try selecting different planes to see the different training missions.

As for realisme.... a lot of pil2ots in WWII were thrown into battle having little combat training....

Maybe start a campaign.... if at first you don't succeed, try and try again....

Download some custom missions, learn from the forums...
