Hello all, have been watching the mods guys debating over the bf-109E-3 and its motor cannon etc with quite some interest.

So my question is what is the agreed upon ultimate BF-109 reference book or web site.
As for me most of my stuff is old squadron signal books that are literally falling apart from many years hard use and may never get replaced. Is there any 1 particualr book that regardless of cost is a masterpeice of technical details etc??

Also a question:
in any bf-109 after the E models, where did the motor cannons shells eject from as well as the mg regardless of size?? Were there ejection chutes/holes under the cowling or did the brass get collected in boxes. Just curious and not trying to start the war of references.

Not a single production Emil ever carried a hub cannon.
Why would they have had to redesign the whole firewall and bearings on the Friedrich otherwise for exactly that purpose?

You guys are welcome http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

If you read that and fly with 100% Input on your stick, the 109 flies ALMOST like the reports on that website http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

After changing my INPUTS to all 100% I dont complain anymore about wrong FM or Oleg got that wrong and that...http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

on a side note...(not hijacking thread)

Battle of Britain(1969)
Memphis Belle(1990)
Pearl Harbor(2001)
Dark Blue World(2001)

all Buchones, I mean, the plane is Fugly!

A Spitfire nose with the body of an Emil, what an abomination!

...that posted by HM reminded me of buchones firing thru the propeller, posing as Emils in those movies...
