Ok, I have been playing htis game online with about 9 of my friends and I like to think I am a great dive bomber (i will hit my target 9 out of 10 times) but when it comes to a b25 I suck really bad. I can't seem to find out how to set the sites in the bomber seat. I adjust it to exactly the correct altitude, and the exact indicated airspeed. But my bombs continuously miss. Anyone have any tips on what I may be doing wrong?

Someone just started this thread today and it has a lot of great info:

Also, Checkout these Tutorials at Airwarfare.com:

Sounds like you may be getting hit with the True Indicated Airspeed stick.

Your airspeed at altitude isnt exactly corrrect, as you go higher, air pressure lessens, so your reported speed and your actual speed are off somewhat.

Hit Bill's link to Airwarfare, they have a couple of good tables and a link to a 3rd party java app that helps calculate your TAS, get one of them. Once you get the TAS issue sorted out, you should start putting them on target.

Yes, download that B-25 Level Bombing Guide Here:
http://www.airwarfare.com/guides/b25_lbg.htm

The .zip file has a Utility that will calculate the TAS for you very easily. Not sure if it's the Java one Ernst is talking about. I haven't tried bombing with it yet, but it will popup a little window 'in game' and you can just use these keys to enter the values...

Shift + Pause: Show/Hide window

Ctrl + PgUp: IAS +
Ctrl + PgDn: IAS -
Shift + PgUp: Altitude +
Shift + PgDn: Altitude -

Thats the exact one Wild.Bill, I use it a lot myself.

If you have the space, the manual charts are also nice to have, especially for low altitude runs.

That tool sure is very handy. I have heard a few times about a Java one, but this one is an .exe. Java apps need the Java Runtime to function don't they? I can run this one without the Java Runtime, so it can't be the Java one I've heard about can it? Maybe I'm wrong about this, but I'm pretty sure you need the Java Runtime engine running for Java apps to run.
