Hi Shodanjo,

mails like this have been filling by business-email (only that one) for at least past 2 years. Simply ignore them.

Some 3rd world countries make up to one third of their national income based on extorsions that begin with such e-mails.

Yes, their mails are always funny: yahoo, gmail, even hotmail http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

There was a Nigerian scam similar to this, eventually, after some problems, it'll turn out you need to transfer a few thousand to secure the release of the capital. Once that's done you never hear from them again, except maybe the odd postcard from Hawaii.

mailalexei@i12.com....hmmm. This scam is overmodelled.

Thanks tt,

Actually it's quite often that I received this kind of spam. Usually they went straight to the trash bin but I was just curious about what this guy up to this time and found that it's Russian connection now.

The loyal ex wife of belated Nigerian king, the daughter of the daughter of the relative of decapitated Ivory Coast minister of making sense, the exiled governor of the kingdom of Timbuktu.... You name it, Ive seen it http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

And now it's Russian oil company that the news in the link he's provided to make this seems legit was from the year 2003.

What's next? Martian? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

Ploughman, yes, his mail somewhat left me puzzled at first because i thought it was il2.com. lol

Actually we shouldn't joke. A friend of mine is in a similar situation at the moment. The President of Libernia has confiscated all of his assets. These amount to a few hundred thousand dollars as he's been employed in the oil prospecting buisness for the past few years.

If some of you guys could help out he'd be only willing to repay you when the whole thing's blown over.

All you have to do is send a ......

I thought the Galactic Federation has agreed that they will take control of all "oil prospective businesses" in their members's homeworld? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Because of these morons I will cancel my old e-mail adress - I'm tired of being forced to constantly delete ~20 spam mails daily.(I wish I have never subscribed to receive occasional e-mails from one site -- they were most likely distibuted it to spamers and soo..).

--I have once recived spam message saying something like "for only x$ you can order a CD with more than 5 million e-mail adresses"http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif--

It is the lesson for the future; never give my 'real' e-mail to site - for that purpose yahoo! will suffice. Friends and family are to know my 'real' e-mail..
