i keep going with no weapons, except for a while after a baastard shot my chuter

i get my heart beat really fast, more than shooting

what i like the most is going to enemy base and start making circles against as many foes as posible

i make climbing spirals, but whats the best speed for this with the spit 25 lbs

i also wonder why dev team included the option to go unloaded

yesterday somebody would say dont you shoot you evil people, sometimes i get the feeling the universe turns around me, im so egocentric

Well AFAIK he recently decided to go OL unarmed. I don't know about you, but I'm following this little experiment with a keen interest myself http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Air racing, and to simulate unarmed recon flights are two reasons that spring to mind.

climbing means being out of reach

i have even out turn zeros with this method and out height 190

with this method the most enemies the funnier always on a superior energy state while out turnning every single foe

btw i try shooting once in a while but i get peaced off and obfuscated and then when i go no weapons i have so much fun even have less freezes ive even outurn a zero trailing him wind from the wingtips so he was turning well or do like san fermines and have 5 enemies on my 6 for five minutes and out turn them all and then leave unharmed and i dont mind being shot down but somehow intending to shoot people obfuscates me

Yeah, aren't there some missions in the scripted campaigns where your plane is deliberately empty to keep you from entering combat? There are some recon missions or ones where the goal is to get from A to B without getting shot down. No ammo keeps the hotshots from deviating from the mission plan to dogfight everything in sight.

The loadout covers your plane and your wingmen, so you could take ammo and choose not to use it, but if you give the wingmen ammo they will use it. The only way to prevent that would be to make all of your planes empty.

If you can outturn a zero in a spit in a climbing turn then apparently you have found another one in a long line of bugs in the maddox software because spits in real life were eaten alive trying that. It wouldn't matter if you had any ammo on board or not you would be toast..

From the ballentine book "Spitfire" introduction by air vice-marshal "johnnie" Johnson

"The zero had a high power to weight ratio, could climb to 10,000 ft in three minutes and reach 20,000 ft as the same time as a mark 5 spit.."

Here is one account of a battle between spits and zero's in the far east..

"There was too much dogfighting agains't the zeros, which could turn inside the spitfires. An australian who fought 109's over France and who was not only a good shot but also a skilful pilot, made a shallow diving attack on a zero which performed a tight loop on the tail of the spitfire and forced him to break away before he was shot down.."

i believe the reason is a higher energy state

if i keep climbing at 260 kph while he is at 180 is normal i out turn him

spits don't outurn zero's in the slow speed relm...period.

now if you could take out all the armor out of your plane and it's self sealing fuel tanks and lighten it up like a zero was then you might be right.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

anyway enjoy the one of many "glitchs" in the software. At least you have made this one work for you.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

psss..I would probably do the exact same thing btw.. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif

It also works with a full load of ammo... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif
