Were any aeroplanes harmed in the making of that movie? Or was it one of those CGI planesploitation flicks I've heard about? On the surface, yes - but dig deeper and the director's true intent will become all too apparent.

It was very well done, but did it truly address the wider issues that today's sosphisticated audiences demand? Was it a plane or a savage metaphor for the way that modern life encroaches upon and crushes the individual spirit in us all? It can surely be no coincidence that the hero was enjoying going his own way until terrorised by a symbol of corporate authority. The old lady, an obvious device to encapsulate the director's yearning for a return to an age long gone - if indeed it ever existed at all. Her hand gesture a potent reminder that the rampant decay of moral values has contaminated even this bastion of the way things were.

A truly thought provoking cinematic experience.

I love that flick! Too many improbables to argue about. Good entertainment.

I guess after watching the Jet Blue landing last week, it would be safe to say the nose gear would have just batted that SUV out of the way.

Some people wont pull over for an ambulance so it's no surprise he wouldn't get out of the way. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
