View Full Version : The F2A's gunsight

The F2A has a nice cockpit and flies nicely, just like a B-239 in fact. What bugs me though is the gunsight. Now it isn't that I dislike telescoping sights, I actually love the one on the Ki-43 but the F2A's sight is nothing short of ugly. For me atleast, it is super pixelated and does not appear to have any zoom capability at all. Perhaps the sight should be redone.

You aren't using it right. Here is the trick.

WHen you engage in a dogfight make sure you are sitting as far back as possible. When you are ready to use the gunsight view, you can't use Shift+F1, like in other aircraft. You have to use a different view, which is default key as Ctrl+E

Then you will get a fantastic view! Try it!

Agreed, but I don't think we need to panic. It's obviously not right and I doubt Oleg will tolerate it either.

Really a wonderful view. Anyway you are going to need a really long arm to pull the trigger when aimed.

If your using the mouse to look around, assign LMB as the toggle sight view to easily switch between views in a scrum. Its as fast as moving your head backwards and forwards! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I found the iron sights (posts on top of the telescope) to be quite useful. They certainly offer a better view than the scope - though at the cost of reduced accuracy.

just zoom in to gunsite view. granted it wont appear to look like ur eye is against the scope like in the ki's, but close to it. besides, ur supposed to use the gunsight to aim, not use the tracers.
