SOW is not around a corner mate... 2 more addons on the way. Which free patch are you talking about?

Some gamesite said SOW-releasedate is November 19th, that's for me around the corner!

But in fact, I cannot remember the year, lol!

The patch would be some kind of evaluation-patch!?

Cheers again

Very good point about the year LOL... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/touche.gif
What do you mean - evaluation patch? There are two more pay addons... Manjuria and VVS1946. What happens after that, who knows. I wouldnt count on free patch too much tho... IF they have time and content and even then with the big MAYBE.

SoW is the primary objective now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

As I understand it, Luthier has confirmed there will be a final free patch released after the publication of the VVS46 add-on.
He posted it up on SimHQ

For me it sounds to be logical, as often after addons smaller or bigger bugs appeared, that have to be solved after. So its good to have this possibility in mind at least. Although 4.05 is running quite well and seems to be well tested (excluding the online purchasing problems).

Lets see after the addons. I would appreciate it as there is still a lot of content for sure. Hoping its all worth it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Today Ubisoft, one of the world€s largest video game publishers, announces Storm of War: Battle of Britain, to come in November 2006 for PCs worldwide. Storm of War: Battle of Britain is the first instalment in the new Storm of War franchise from award-winning developer Maddox Games. Ubisoft and Maddox games previously collaborated on the acclaimed IL-2 Sturmovik and Pacific Fighters games.

In Storm of War: Battle of Britain, players will take to the skies during the famous Battle of Britain. Using classic World War II planes, the game offers a variety of historical missions through solo campaigns or online combat and cooperation. Storm of War: Battle of Britain includes a new 3D engine and damage model technology, enabling genre newcomers to enjoy a smooth ride thanks to a state-of-the-art flight simulator and scalable gameplay.

€œThe Maddox series of flight simulators became instant references of the genre and we know that PC gamers are eagerly awaiting the next occasion to ride the skies,€ said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing for North America at Ubisoft. €œStorm of War: Battle of Britain guarantees a thrilling ride; it is the genuine heir to flight simulator hall-of-famer IL-2.€

€œWe€ve invested our time and talent to create new technology so players will be stunned by the quality of Storm of War: Battle of Britain,€ said Oleg Maddox, creator of the acclaimed IL-2 series. €œOur collaboration with Ubisoft has been very fruitful and we€re sure that gamers will be excited to join the €˜proud few€ in this recreation of an important battle of the Second World War.€

Please be aware that the website is currently down but will be back shortly. Thanks E3! </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Official standpoint is nov 2006, and what some of you guys unofficially say is something else.

That isn't really a good move to say Nov 2006 if it's going to be delayed months from that date. And still that post hangs up on the first sticky position in PF forum. Also the same info can be seen on FB home site, under News section.

Fresh guys can wonder what is happening, tho.
But hey... no oldtimers will be surprised by any of this happening.

Addons being deleyed is one thing, s**t happens, but what really suprises me is the total lack of info on when/how/why......any info really.

A OFFICIAL "we are working on it, please beare with us" would do just fine.

Seriously, last update on UBISOFT was Jul.24. People shouldnt have to draaag out the tinyest of info ( by posting countless questions in here ) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Lack of info on patches and BOB = rapidly dwindling community.

The online numbers are literally 1/2 of what they were last year this time.
