Sry, not sure if this is the right place for this..

Imagine you're at a large event (ren-fest, anime con, etc.) and you see a poster of a hooded figure that says "Morti Di Vivo f5000", then a bit later a guard comes up to you and shows you the same picture "Have you seen this character?"
You tell him no and he bids you a good day.
As you're walking around, enjoying all that's going on a group of courtesans start making a scene, then, you hear a scream from behind you and turn to see a man fall to the ground 'dead' and the character from the posters standing behind him, blade extended from his/her wrist!
The guards charge at him/her with weapons drawn, but the Assassin takes them out easily and quickly vanishes back into the crowd.

Wouldn't that be awesome?
That's the idea, to do a large-scale, kind of flash mob like skit.. of course we'd get permission from whomever is running the event and the security.. The Courtesans will be the ones to find the 'random' assassination targets and inform them what to do and when for a good show.

So far I have 2 assassins (my brother and myself), 1 guard, 1 multi-player Templar and 1 courtesan.. we need a LOT more people (especially guards and Templars) for this to work..

I'm happy to help with costumes (designing or making them)
I'll help design them for free (my one guard wanted a cross between normal and agile uniform)
and to make the costumes is cost of materials + $30 for time and labor
For armor I use real leather and (I can't work with metal) thick latex

an example of some of my leatherwork:

I was hoping to use real, albeit blunted weapons to make things a realistic as possible (minus blood)

Safety concerns:
once we get enough people for this to work we'll hold a lot of practice sessions to work on the choreography of the fight scenes

when 'assassinating' someone, we will merely tap them on the shoulder and have the blade extended to the side so it never actually touches them

As stated before, we will get permission from the people running the event and let security know what's going on

this has been bouncing around in my head for months now.. and it's driving me crazy!

any help is greatly appreciated http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif

Well... your idea is, interesting. I just thought there wasn't such a thing as 'too much Assassin's Creed'. You've proven me wrong, thanks. Anyways, I wish you good luck with your project http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

That sounds... really cool. I'd love to join, but I'm kinda not in the right state. I'm just curious, how do you do your costumes?

It would work better if a slot is cut into the uniforms of the assassination target for the blade to go making it more realistic and closer to the body

Can we see a picture of the Courtesan?

I'm still working on the costumes, but will get pics up when they're finished..

the assassination targets would be people in the crowd that the courtesans find for us.. so I want to be sure and not have the blades near them for safety concerns by security and those running the event.

about to order some fabric for my guard's costume.. he likes the Forli (green and black) uniforms best, so that's the color we'll use for all guards (first come first serve kind of thing)
because the best price I found on the fabric is for a 110yd roll @ $2/yd.. so.. yea..

seems like overkill until you think about how many guards will need the uniforms for this to work, and it ends up saving the guard $$ on material costs..

the guards in the game usually walk around in groups of 4.. I think it could be done with groups of 2, however.. at least 5 groups to cover the area of an anime con (I'd prefer 10 for the ren-fest, but likely have to make do with 5 [likely less] with as many people as are interested in this)

Courtesans will also be in groups of at least 2 for safety reasons, mostly..

Assassins.. really only need one, but more are welcome

Multiplayer characters are optional... I think they'll be hunting the Assassins independently from the guards.. just an idea..

so that's going to be about
10 guards
4 courtesans

aaaand... my brain is fried at the moment thanks to this stupid cold http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

This sounds like such a fun (not to mention rather awesome) idea!
I'd love to help out and take part (I'd have to be a courtesan..) but I'm in Australia. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Why would there be a sign offering a reward of 50,000 florin in Texas?
